Comments: Developing A Framework to Understand and Develop Working Solutions to Major Conflicts: The Case of Mizoram (India) - Part 2

Applause*

Enjoyed this article as much as I enjoyed the first part. As a Mizo, I must admit this is one of the best articles and most well researched ones about our "Ram buai ni" (Warring days) coming from a non-Mizo's perspective.

Few people like you, Bhaumik, Sanjay Hazarika etc are able to grasp the crux of the situation by the horns. These days, most of the articles about the Mizo's war of Independence floating around in the blogosphere are lies (Evil gun-totting Christian Missionaries gunning down Hindus or terrorist groups funded by Christians to kill as many non-Christians as possible if they don't convert etc etc) which many gullible readers readily fall for! (There's no mention about us in any of our Indian school text books, except for maybe 1-2 pages on rare occasions). Hence it sure feels good and relieving to read about the truth for a change. Cheers to you, mate.

Nice article eriposte, As I had said, earlier, educated generation wanted peace and continue with India rather than having to fight. India did a good job on containing Pakistan by supporting east Pakistan to become Bangladesh. All Laldenga wanted was power and he got it as a CM. Cannot believe that educated folks there went for a crook like Laldenga.
