Comments: The Minnesota Recount: The Court Rules, Everyone Wins

This is a huge victory for Coleman's backers. There is virtually no chance for a reversal. The ONLY goal is to delay a critical, liberal vote in the Senate as long as the money can keep it in limbo.

I'm all for due process, CA, but I respectfully disagree with your headline. Not EVERYONE wins with this decision. Minnesota voters and the majority of the nation lose a little. I know the term is for six years, but, in case you hadn't noticed, some mighty close votes are going down in the Senate, these days.

And thus you know what this is all about. No Franken, no vote.

Clever, aren't they?

The Coleman campaign claims they won't try to literally introduce all 4,797 ballots - we'll see how many they do and how much patience the court has.

just more of the same from the cult of hate, greed, intimidation and, stupidity.....when you have no ideas to offer just offer B.S. and obsfustication....

At this point it is blatantly obvious, even to the casual soundbite and headline observers, what Coleman is doing.

Its branding iron time for the Dems. "Obstructionists" anyone? Not just out of the Franken camp but at a national level.

Bush V. Gore can't be used for anything, says so in the ruling, non precedence setting.

Obviously Scalia and company wouldn't want that icky equal protection thing to be used to protect voters instead of disenfranchising them. The Election Contest judges made clear that they didn't think Bush v Gore applied regardless because the state has uniform standards for counting ballots.

Because of the enormous damage that Bush did to our country and our economy, our nation would be in crisis even if Republicans had forty fewer votes in the House and ten fewer votes in the Senate. It will take time and work to turn the crisis around. But the Republicans in Washington are no longer interested in solving problems. Instead of addressing the crisis, they are deepening the crisis.

What Coleman, McConnell, Gingrich, Limbaugh and a host of others are pursuing is right wing anarchy.

The American people better wake up real fast to the fact that the usual crowd of Washington Republicans are playing games with the lives of millions of Americans.

"right wing anarchy"---great phrase.

With 36 out of 41 GOoP senators voting for a "stimulus" that has none, zero, zip, spending and all, tax cuts, right wing anarchy is here....
