Posted by CG at February 15, 2009 02:03 PMThe response to "that doesn't make sense" ought to vary a bit. Alternatively, it could simply be the general purpose "fuck you," which seems to be the operative GOP credo.
Posted by joel dan walls at February 15, 2009 03:12 PMIt could be a bit more accurate in that it should tell you to go back to school, then the tax credit should be predicated on "The solution to your problem is a $69,729 tax cut....if you make more than $440,000.00 a year. Otherwise, pray to Jesus for a quick death. Your reward is in the afterlife."
Posted by phidipides at February 15, 2009 03:30 PM“Democratic lawmakers from Wisconsin and Indiana helped make buyers of motorcycles and recreational vehicles eligible for a tax credit aimed primarily at automobile and truck purchasers. Officials said the measure will primarily benefit Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson and RV manufacturers in Elkhart, Ind., where Obama held a town hall meeting last week as part of his campaign to push the stimulus,” the Washington Post reported.
By the way, isn’t this supposed to be a green stimulus?
From Science Daily: “Motorcycles collectively emit 16 times more hydrocarbons, three times more carbon monoxide and a ‘disproportionately high’ amount of other air pollutants compared to passenger cars, according to a Swiss study published in the Jan. 1 issue of the American Chemical Society’s journal Environmental Science & Technology. The study, by Ana-Marija Vasic and Martin Weilenmann of the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research, found both two- and four-cycle motorcycle engines emitted significantly more of these pollutants than automobile engines.”
As for RVs — 5 or 6 miles per gallon.
Yeah, he's signing a non green stimulus. It's for the greater good folks, just take it along with the "other" crap....may I have another?
Where is John Galt?

Posted by headxray at February 16, 2009 12:21 PMI think I got rerouted to the Dem solution solver.
My problem:
"I want to build wealth more quickly"
Solution:
"Borrow $65,000 without concern as to where it will come from and piss it away a quickly as possible."
that doesn't make sense?
"If you question this answer, you obviously don't want to do anything to solve your problems"
