Good lets prosecute the torturers and those that authorized it. But wait...

You could say that Obama wants that by appointing Dawn Johnson. But I could just as easily argue that by nominating a controversial person that will be opposed by the Republicans he has fooled us.

Knowing the Republicans knee jerk reaction to stop her, he can look stong on prosecution, but in reality know that she will not get accepted. Thus he gets what he wants which is to not have to prosecute the torture folks.

There is a lot to be said for being able to count on the just say no party.
