Again Doxie, If all this 'special prosecutor" stuff happens, are you ready to accept a "not guilty" finding in the outcome? Or is it that should this turn out to be a "not guilty" finding, AG Holder failed to get the right prosecutor or judge to hear the case? Next, I wonder how many "state secret" claims will be brought forth by AG Holder in defense of those being accused?
"Ha. I would like that outcome as much as anyone, thus it is precisely why all of us should guard our wits with this question, we often want to know as truth what we wish it to be, not what in fact reality is showing us."
There you go Doxie, the truth may not be what you wish it to be. And what's this doing to career CIA members? Soon they'll have to take out insurance to cover any problems when admin's change and the next one comes looking. It's the IRS all over again. The new interpretation of a law/code applies for the last three years retroactive.
Posted by peter at April 27, 2009 09:56 PMshit-fer-brains pete anyway you slice it all these "considered" "points" you think your making and all the "thoughtful" questions you raise are only a smoke screen for excusing torture and other criminal behavior..
You are a rank propagandist and liar in addition to your self appointed "job" justifying repuke crimes, lies and coverups..
Apparently you're paid by the word for the obsfucating crap you spew...
The only one fooled by your crap is you..now go lay down it's time to change your Depends...
Maybe that time is there for Speaker Pelosi. Has she said anything truthful about this issue? Hey, that special prosecutor can look into her too. She seems to be having 'senior' moments lately, forgetting her involvement with this issue back when she was the Minority Leader. Let the admin release the Pelosi papers. She was briefed, though she's saying NOW she wasn't. She raised no objections THEN, that close to September 11th. NOW, in 2009 she forgets about September 11th, just like our admin has by the fact of their flying that plane around NY yesterday. It must be a September 10th world now.
Posted by peter at April 28, 2009 04:18 AMHis comments about the memory hole are for the greater memory of most Americans. Sure we learn about those other events in History class, but we have also seen how much US History Americans actually remember.
I can't go on the streets of my city (large Southern) and find a majority of people who know what Andersonville was, even if they attend the reenactments. As a society, we tend to block out these events which take away from the "shining city on the hill" motif.

how's that Depend doing asswipe? you've had it on 20 minutes.....
He didn't say "World War II", he said "World War II Interment camps".
Posted by Colin at April 28, 2009 12:44 PMSorry, I meant InterNment camps. But they are probably unknown to most young people.
Posted by Colin at April 28, 2009 12:46 PMRegarding that incident with the plane - perhaps I shouldn't, but I can't help wondering how New Yorkers would have coped with the Blitz.
