how can these people be pro-life and pro-death penalty at the same time? how can they justify an assasination in a church at that? anti-birth control, anti-education, anti support for young mothers with babies, anti social services and for the most part, anti adoption.
the cognitive dissonance and rampant hyprocrisy of these people know no bounds.

Posted by VaLiberal at June 4, 2009 03:08 PMI don't think it's a pro-life thing or the issue of controlling women's bodies, though both probably play to some extent with some of these folks, I think the real attraction is the power surge that comes with enforcing your moral code on others. It's a crusade and those always have appeal to a certain sort of person that does not think in much depth about their moral code and why it might not be absolutely the best for everybody. Simple morality tales, that is the extent of the philosophy for a lot of these simpletons.

That is part of it....lest we omit, mental illness which manifests itself as hatred and especially misogyny....the backgrounds of many of these right wing bible pukes is abuse as a child...
