When I went to the Holocaust museum several years ago as the 7th grade religious school teacher, I remember thinking that it had to be a target and being thankful for the security. My husband went with my son this past year as part of my son's 7th grade trip. It makes me so angry that someone would do this. That this kind of hatred still exists. Our synagogue was also vandalized several months ago. Very mild, probably kids, but still. It really pisses me off.

Nice hedging of your bets there, Turkana.
Replace "al Qaeda" with Muslim(s) and your argument begins with a lie.
Replace "al Qaeda" with "believers in al Qaeda's philosophy" and your argument begins with a lie.
On the other hand, you could begin your argument by stipulating that "...more innocent American citizens have been killed by bee stings..."
But then again, why not begin your argument with the phrase "...we have always been at war with Eastasia."
I have to admit I haven't looked at any of the coverage today. It's damn upsetting when a public shooting occurs at anytime or under any circumstance. My heart goes out to the victim's family, the people at the Holocaust museum who must be scared shitless, and to the shooter's family whom will not deserve the shit that is now just starting to rain on them.
Party like 1992!
Posted by idiosynchronic at June 10, 2009 05:44 PMtell us, troll...
since 9/11, how many american citizens have been murdered by muslims? how many by white wingnuts such as yourself?
Posted by Turkana at June 10, 2009 05:47 PM"...how many american citizens have been murdered by muslims?"
Well, recently there was the soldier in Arkansas.
There was also Daniel Pearl.
I do believe that there was an incident at LAX a few years ago.
Were there US citizens killed by Muslims in Mumbai...perhaps you do not remember that little incident.
And on...
And on....
And on.....
"...how many by white wingnuts such as yourself?"
I am not white: I am an immigrant. My skin is brown.
Anything else I may help you with?

Maddow just brought him up in the context of the other terrorist killings, saying that the common thread in all of this is that the killers claim their murders are justified because of their personal belief systems. Now, where would they get that idea? And shouldn't it worry us all?
Posted by Twinky P* at June 10, 2009 06:28 PMThe ultra violent death of thousands upon thousands of innocent children is justified by the extremist belief system of those that bow at the altar of "my body" and choice to kill.

Yes, we get it teabagger... you're a free market capitalist from Southeast Asia... who was rescued from the communist brainwashing camps when you were young.
Heard the story before... you have assimilated the republi-KKKon party talking points quite nicely.
Posted by Seven of Six at June 10, 2009 08:09 PMWhy do the talking head lice keep referring to the wingnut museum killer as "this gentleman"? He's certainly no gentleman. Stupid head lice.

Actually, that "extremist belief system" is the US constitution which gives me the legal right to do what I want with my own body. It's called freedom. And getting in the way of my freedom is illegal. Why do you hate America? And if you hate it so much, why don't you go to Saudi Arabia where the women aren't free and the religion is the ruling doctrine. You'd like it there, I'm sure.
Posted by Twinky P* at June 11, 2009 05:20 AMSo your compulsion to kill comes from the Constitution, freaky.

I'll take any compulsion that derives from the Constitution over any compulsion that is derived from a book of 2000 year old, outdated, superstition laden fairy tales any day.

Characterize my right to my own medical decisions any way you want in your fevered little authoritarian brain, and I emphasize little; the law is on my side. I could get an abortion a day if I wanted, and it still wouldn't be any of your business. Your interest in what happens in my uterus is perverted and illegal, so get over it.
Posted by Twinky P* at June 11, 2009 07:20 AMGo figure... onar sides with domestic terrorists.
Christian extremists are alive and well in America!
They criticize Muslim theocracies and can't see that they are wanting the same fucking thing.
