Oops! It's as if President Bush never left. Or maybe he's just becoming a comic...

ok, how many gaffes did gw have in his tenure?
lets put them both side by side and see who can converse above the 6th grade level.

what scares me is that the folks on the right cheerled the disaster of the gw policy, called all who disagreed with them unpatriotic, terrorists, or worse. now, that 44 is potus, all the chickens are coming home to roost. more racism, more violence, more hate filled rhetoric (for examples watch any hour of fox news). they blatant hypocrisy shown by the right is amazing and incredibly sad at the same time. can someone give me an example of an impeach gw t-shirt with a .50 cal on the shirt? what about the racists twitters from so carolina and more recently tn?

the party you blindly support peter is exposing themselves for what they are, petty, hateful, small, bigoted, narrow, and flat out diseased amerikkkans.

it's more like the Results of President Bush never left, troll.
Very important to remember that from 2000-2008, the CIA was under the direct supervision of president George W. Bush...yeah, before/during 9/11, with WMD/Iraq, with Plamegate, with Torture at Gitmo and Abu Graib...yes all of it on George W. Bush's watch. And all of it dropped in the lap of Obama.

Investigate, indict, prosecute and jail the bastards.

That will send the right signal to current and future government employees and contractors that they better think hard about the orders they decide to follow. I think the Nuremburg trials set the precedent, you can't say, hey I was just following orders. When you commit war crimes, you are a war criminal. When you order war crimes, you are a war criminal. When you subvert the Constitution and settled law to allow war crimes, you are a war criminal.

The "people who hate us" will immediately understand the message of an open investigation of the war crimes and prosecution of the war criminals.

The desire to hide these issues is not about national security, it's about avoiding the indictment and prosecution.

Talking about you, Mr. Yoo. Talking about you, Mr. Cheney. Talking about you, Mr. Ashcroft. Talking about you, Mr. Gonzales, Mr. Bradbury, Mr. Addison. on and on. We don't get well until we deal with this era of US war crimes.

But Obama just doesn't have the whole "grade school make a stupid face" thing down quite yet.

So, John Ensign was a Promise Keeper. Too bad the only promise he kept was to his dick, eh? Of course, his lover's hubby should have known not to ask for money - Republicans are more faithful to their bank accounts than anything else. Funny, though, how Vitter set the bar for screwing around so high - without a diaper or a dildo and a couple wet suits, no one cares about yet another Republican hypocrite getting caught with his pants down.

Flight 77 again...I have friends in DC that tell me the plane flew right over them before the explosion. They didn't, however, actually see it hit..just assumed that it did. There is no doubt about the lack of physical evidence of the victims on the plane. If you go back to that day's TV coverage, and listen to it all, you'll find an announcer saying that first reports indicate a truck bomb. I heard it with my ears, but don't know the channel. There is a substantial difference between a truck and a airliner. Hard to make a mistake like that, huh? The videos certainly do not show a plane, and the excuse that the camera shutter speed omitted it could be easily proved true, or false (which is why no one has tried yet, perhaps). I see plenty of surveillance videos and I'll tell you right now, any of them, especially at a place like the Pentagon, would see some portion of a giant plane at the speed it would have been traveling. That said, there is plane parts on the ground after the explosion...I've always said that the gov't could prove it if they wanted to...there are lots of ways. The question is why haven't they?

Oops! It's as if President Bush never left. Or maybe he's just becoming a comic...

Not nearly as big a mistake as the right convincing you that your 401k made you part of the "investor class".

There is no doubt about the lack of physical evidence of the victims on the plane.

All but one of the plane passengers were identified via DNA analysis.

If you go back to that day's TV coverage, and listen to it all, you'll find an announcer saying that first reports indicate a truck bomb. I heard it with my ears, but don't know the channel.

Imagine that! Inaccurate first reports in the media! Unheard of.

There is a substantial difference between a truck and a airliner. Hard to make a mistake like that, huh?

Unless you didn't see the delivery vehicle and simply heard the explosion.

The surveillance camera that took the video in which the explosion appears in the background was at an automobile entrance gate. It was for recording the entry of cars a few feet away. Not objects moving hundreds of miles per hour hundreds of yards in the distance.

Sorry, but those who want to believe the "evidence" presented in this video need to ask themselves some very basic questions.

There is no doubt that 2 commercial airliners were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center. Another commercial airliner was crashed in rural Pennsylvania. That being the case why would those supposedly responsible for staging the events of that day decide to fake flying a 4th commercial airliner into the Pentagon? Why stage an elaborate sham that included actually flying the commercial airliner to within yards of the Pentagon, staging the damage to light poles, planting airplane debris around and within the crash site and making the 4th airliner and its passengers disappear without a trace rather than simply flying the 4th plane into its target like the others had been? Why?

Posted by snark at June 17, 2009 10:46 AM

And of course it would mean you'd have to disregard all the people who actually reported seeing the plane hit the Pentagon.

Posted by snark at June 17, 2009 12:30 PM

yes, why stage an elaborate sham...like invading a country to eliminate drones flying across the Atlantic from Iraq with nukes to attack us.
"Not objects moving hundreds of miles per hour hundreds of yards in the distance." - well, that same camera seemed to catch the explosion quite vividly, didn't it? How fast do you think the flames from the explosion spread? My point on that is a plane is pretty damn big. Why not put all this to rest with a test out in the desert, same type plane speed and same type camera?
And anybody could have taken DNA trace material to that site- the pentagon is full of people who do that kind of skullduggery for a living.

Posted by T2 at June 17, 2009 12:34 PM

All this black helicopter stuff is amusing.

However I still believe it was young Dick Cheney on the grassy knoll.

Posted by TIKI AL at June 17, 2009 12:41 PM

yes, why stage an elaborate sham...like invading a country to eliminate drones flying across the Atlantic from Iraq with nukes to attack us.

Was the invasion of Iraq a sham? I though it really happened? Do you doubt that we invaded Iraq? Or can you really just not answer the question? Why crash three airliners and then "stage" the crash of a 4th?

well, that same camera seemed to catch the explosion quite vividly, didn't it? How fast do you think the flames from the explosion spread? My point on that is a plane is pretty damn big. Why not put all this to rest with a test out in the desert, same type plane speed and same type camera?

Did the fireball appear in frame and exit the frame in a second or a fraction of a second like the plane did? I don't think so.

And anybody could have taken DNA trace material to that site- the pentagon is full of people who do that kind of skullduggery for a living.

Right, so another few people added to the hundreds that were in on the big conspiracy. Planting all the false evidence all over the place. But you think blowing up a plane in the desert to test a surveillance camera will give you a definitive answer? [rolls eyes]

And you think all the witnesses who were on the highway and saw the plane actually hit the building are in on it too?

Posted by snark at June 17, 2009 12:51 PM

snark, I just don't trust Bush very much, and besides it's fun to come up with conspiracies. They even made a movie about Kennedy's killing. By the way, the sham was the evidence they presented, not what they did with it.
" a fraction of a second like the plane did?" gee, I didn't see a plane. And yes the initial explosion was fraction of a second...any explosion is, whether from jet fuel or explosives. Check it out on the 4th of July with a firecracker...but be careful !

Posted by T2 at June 17, 2009 01:41 PM

" a fraction of a second like the plane did?" gee, I didn't see a plane.

Because it only started to appear in one frame and was consumed in the fireball in the next. The camera has been shown to have been filming at approximately 4 frames per second. If you watch the full video you'll see a pentagon police car pass through the gate. It does not pass smoothly through the field of view but is stuttered because of the slow frame rate. The plane travelling several hundred miles an hour passes through the cameras field of view much more quickly.

And yes the initial explosion was fraction of a second...any explosion is, whether from jet fuel or explosives. Check it out on the 4th of July with a firecracker...but be careful !

The initial explosion? As diferentiated from the fireball that is seen in the video? Do you really believe that that fireball appeared, expanded upward more than twice the height of the Pentagon and disappeared in a fraction of a second? Like a firecracker? Really?

And again, what of all the actual eyewitnesses who saw the airliner strike the building? All liars?

snark, I just don't trust Bush very much, and besides it's fun to come up with conspiracies.

The irony in that statement is just dripping.

Posted by snark at June 17, 2009 01:55 PM

its photoshopped

Posted by T2 at June 17, 2009 02:18 PM

"four frames per second" ? are you saying it was a film camera? Not a video camera? I guess my problem with the whole argument hanging on that one camera's inability to record a huge plane is twofold:
One, no camera anywhere around there showed a plane. Two, I've seen lots of professional and amateur videos of the Twin Tower crashes and you can see the planes in every one of them. Not one video I've ever seen just shows the towers, then the explosion..the planes are in every single one of them.
But our Pentagon, office of the greatest Armed Services in the world does not have one camera watching the building with the technical quality to see a big plane? the greatest threat to the building...and no camera can see one? How about this...some where there is a radar record - it should show the plane change course, vector towards the Pentagon then, poof, end of flight. Where is that radar record?

Posted by T2 at June 17, 2009 02:44 PM

Oh come on, this again. Sorry T2, these cheap cameras just don't capture much. You lose a lot of detail. Some people may forget, Barbara Olsen was on Flight 77. Ted Olsen's wife, you know, W's lawyer for Bush v. Gore, his Solicitor General for the SC. She was a much smarter Ann Coulter, way much smarter, great wit, and prettier.

There was/is a radar record. I've seen it. The plane came in without a transponder, but it's there. It's target must have been the WH, problem being getting there with a big 757, one would have to have very great skills. As it was, this 'pilots' crash into the Pentagon was well piloted. Shame, he/they wasted themselves on this venture.

Sometimes T2, you made sense the other day, this time. Nope, no sense here at all. I'm with snark here just as I was in the past.

“The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service. The legislation which was passed last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal. ‘Loss of confidence’ is not a sufficient reason. I’m hopeful the White House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as possible,” McCaskill said.

Another 'removal', how W or is it Cheney of Obama.

Let's be thankful to Condi Rice's placement of Jared Cohen at State. "Yet on Monday afternoon, a 27-year-old State Department official, Jared Cohen, e-mailed the social-networking site Twitter with an unusual request: delay scheduled maintenance of its global network, which would have cut off service while Iranians were using Twitter to swap information and inform the outside world about the mushrooming protests around Tehran." NYTimes

"The request, made to a Twitter co-founder, Jack Dorsey, is yet another new-media milestone: the recognition by the United States government that an Internet blogging service that did not exist four years ago has the potential to change history in an ancient Islamic country.
...
"And imagine our further surprise when we learned this young gentleman wasn't one of Barack Obama's social media geniuses, but instead was a Condi Rice pick hired specifically to advise the State Department on young people in the Middle East and how to "counter-radicalize" them." mediabistro.com
...
"As a Jewish American, Cohen has guts. He went to Lebanon to interview Hezbollah members at, of all places, a McDonald's. In Iran, he found underground parties, where bootleg liquor, Western music and the Internet are all easy to access. His risky itinerary aims to show us how and why the under-30 generation in the Islamic world is the best hope for the West."CNN

Way to go Condi!!!

And how about our President today rolling out that 'new' GLB policy...

* First, he stood on the sidelines as the African American community in California pushed Proposition 8 over the top, stripping gay couples and families in that state of their civil rights.

* Second, he abandoned his pledge to reverse don’t-ask-don’t-tell in the military.

* Third, he filed an extremely damaging brief in federal court supporting the Defense of Marriage Act, invoking tropes about incest marriage and arguing that DOMA is good for the federal budget (it keeps all those pesky gay partners from collecting Social Security).

Amazing guy, lets throw some token policy out there to distract them. Media has it that they're making it up as the prompter rolled.

Being Barack means never having to say you’re sorry

"Another factor at work is the “false consensus bias.” It’s a shame the things Obama has had to do out of political necessity, you tell yourself, but I know deep down he cares about gay rights and is just “playing a long game” — he’ll do what he can when he can. Deep down, he’s on the same page as me. Of course, this is bull. Experiments have shown that we’re all terrible intuitive psychologists and extremely prone to projecting our views onto others (that is, in the absence of evidence, we assume people think what we do)." Trueslant.com

President Obama is a master of "false consensus bias."

Please petie, get the fuck outta here!

* Second, he abandoned his pledge to reverse don’t-ask-don’t-tell in the military.

Did he really? He has over 3 1/2 years to change it fuck face!

* Third, he filed an extremely damaging brief in federal court supporting the Defense of Marriage Act, invoking tropes about incest marriage and arguing that DOMA is good for the federal budget (it keeps all those pesky gay partners from collecting Social Security).

Obama has constantly supported repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and is currently pushing Congress to back legislation offering more substantial benefits, like health care, to same-sex partners. Let congress pass something and he'll sign it.

What is up with republi-KKKons still stalling in the Senate? And how fucking embarrassing, another GOP hypocrite... John Ensign having an affair? Must make you so proud of your party petie!

Poll: No Dent In Obama's Popularity

(CBS) Republican criticism of Barack Obama's handling of the economy and other issues does not appear to be having much effect on the president's popularity, a new CBS News/New York Times poll finds. Mr. Obama's overall approval rating now stands at 63 percent, unchanged from last month. Just one in four Americans says they disapprove of the president...

The Democratic Party is currently enjoys far more popularity than its Republican opposition. Fifty-seven percent of Americans have a favorable view of the Democratic Party, while just 28 percent have a favorable view of the Republican Party.

And while Democrats are united - 90 percent approve of their party - just 64 percent of Republicans approve of the Republican Party. Independents have a far more favorable view of the Democratic Party (51 percent approve) than the Republican Party (28 percent approve.)

Why don't you concentrate on fixing your party... instead of attempting to blog against Obama on The Left Coaster?
