I am currently reading N. Klein's The Shock Doctrine and cannot believe anyone who is sane would give Friedman's "ideas" any credibility. Guess that explains the neocon's embracing them.

No sanity to be found in that batch of fascists...

Lessee.. everywhere their "principles" have been applied chaos and genocide are part and parcel of implementing them...as well as a distinct lack of "democracy"...

No wonder dead eye dick head, dumbsfeld, and the rest of that batch of psychopaths wanted to use them in Iraq qnd any other place they could destroy, steal, and corrupt....

C'mon you sick bunch of neocon troll apologists..try defending that pile of republiKKKon manure...

According to Glen Ford over at BlackAgendaRadio txt, our president isn't leading us in any progressive direction. He states:"“The 'Obama Effect' has led to the near-total collapse of the Left.”
As of this writing, the Progressives for Obama website still exists, a relic of Left delusion that should have died of embarrassment months ago. Barack Obama has, indeed, grown in the presidency – but not into the FDR-like figure of his leftish supporters’ imaginations. Nor has his presence in the Oval Office served to spur Blacks and progressives to dramatic action, creating the “push” that Left Obamites had predicted would allow their champion to act on his more “liberal” instincts. Quite the contrary. The “Obama Effect” has led to the near-total collapse of the Left– both its white and Black wings – and made the nation safe for rule by finance capital and militarists."

His screed grants these accomplishments: "The first Black president has racked up some impressive victories. Barack Obama has quarantined single-payer healthcare advocates, crushed dissent against the war in Congress, and transferred more money to the finance capital class than at any time in planetary history. Not bad for just five months in office. “At some point in the near future Barack Obama will become inextricably associated in the public mind with Big Capital – and deservedly so.”"

Man, this guy is bitter. He just doesn't understand our president. How short sighted he is in his condemnations of where our president is taking us, leading us.

"Give Obama his props. He has turned the tide against real reform at a time of generalized crisis, when the chances for creating a civilized healthcare system were most propitious. He is a wonderment!" Glen Ford

In another piece published on 06/16 Glen states: "Obama has encouraged the political allies of the insurance, pharmaceuticals and hospital industries to present their own plans in the guise of “reform.”"

So yeah headcase tell me how deluded he is to be so critical of our president. Follow the money folks. Who got him into office? Who's profiting now? And who's paying for it?

The US regime swings totalitarian, dispossessing its citizens of liberty and property while the mewlers tout discredited vacuity as argument to expedite the deluge. This is neodemocracy, the force feeding of headcase to the masses.

The core of Adam Smith is competition, not unfettered corporations. The Chicago School is no longer intellectually honest. The underpinning of their anti-government bias is supposedly lack of competition. Yet the support concentrated corporate power and attack a public option that would add competition to health care. That is ideology not theory. This is the classic definition of Fascism.
