Leaning on "corporate whores masquerading as Democrats" in marginal states is more likely to produce Republicans than backbone. Better that progressive bloggers and center-left concentrate on resisting efforts by anti-healthcare reform interests to manhandle independents--and slow thinkers in general--with their flood of misinformation. Screaming at entrenched Republicans on their own turf is at least as effective as whining about the "naive bastards" who live in our own neighborhood.
