How anyone could mistake Krugman for Friedman is beyond me, Krugman has a beard.

Tom has a slightly concussed look that he shares with some breeds of spaniel. Krugman seems to be showing the same in the Rose clip - whether it's because he has a head cold or something I don't know. Krugman seems to dump this look once he starts interacting, where Friedman always looks confused.
