He should have started with a real Investigation of war crimes and the abuse of power of the last administration followed by a swift and public prosecution. Their disgrace is still here stinking up the Nation and the same idiots who supported them still do because they never had to face the truth. Hey, if there's no prosecution then there must not have been a crime committed right?. No lying or fabricating evidence to drag our country into a war, No profiteering, No torture, no spying on Americans, no politicization of the Justice Department, no propaganda arm of the Military directed at our own Citizens. None of that happened because nobody was prosecuted. And as Bush walked out he broke the bank for Wall Street. Nothing to see here. These people ruined our country and because they were never prosecuted they can still stand there and declare how things have really gone to hell since Obama came in. Now they can stand and point at President Obama and scream "he's ruining our Country!" They'll never admit it but even they know they made a few little mistakes. They just didn't get it right the last time. But, next time.
Now where the hell is my single payer?
* Unemployment would be in the range of 8%-9%, and heading (very) slowly down, instead of stuck at 10% from now through the middle of next year.
* Obama's approval numbers would be hovering in the low-sixties and stabilizing, instead of stuck in the mid-fifties and continuing, gradually, to sink.
* The question is "how much better off would we be right now if he were debating Medicare-for-all." Obama's not bad off. He'll get reelected fairly easily, losing Democratic majorities in Congress while he's at it (like Clinton), but what does he care?
He'd be better off. We'd be better off. Liberals would be better off. Conservatives would froth at the mouth even more and be worse off. But the GOP would be more unified than they are now.
So much for making sense.
