if there ever is an Armageddon, the cause will be water.
Interesting day.....several elections which have zero effect on my life or the lives of millions of Americans will determine if Obama can remain president or not.
Posted by T2 at November 3, 2009 06:40 AMand on Afghanistan (very dry place, by the way). The UN and everyone else determines that Karzai cheated his way to election victory....therefore a new election was mandated and cheered by the Obama government. Since the new election would be run by Karzai's guys who cheated for him the first time, the challenger (who may actually have won the first time) says Screw You and bails. Karzai, who has been proven not to have won the first election, is declared the winner. And Obama welcomes that news.
Folks, this stinks. Big Time. Mr. Obama, thank you for ensuring no fair election will ever occur in Afghanistan. And therefore, your quest for Democracy over there is ruined. By you.

Really? Did some wag in the news media say that? 'Cause I'm almost sure Congress doesn't get re-elected until 2010, and the House won't try to impeach HOPE until after January 2011.
Bloody stupid news people. I get angrier and angrier at the media. It's amazing I haven't started setting fire to the journalism building on campus.

Then that means Armegda-don is closer than we think.

Dontcha know? This is the referendum on Palin...or...how many old, white, KKK-supporting fuckers can cast a vote. Bounce your scrotum off my chin....uhhhh...tea-baggers!
Posted by phidipides at November 3, 2009 08:11 PMAnd if there is any consolation, voting machines have been impounded in NY's 23rd. Wrong result. Some votes were for Dems. It has to be like Stalin. 99.99999999999% of the electorate always voted for him. Although generally 2000 people were shot each election. Hey! At least "Pay-to-play" Christie won!
