The 9/11 report/investigation, bitterly opposed by the Bush Administration until it became a political risk, is a classic "everybody is to blame/nobody is to blame" piece of beaurocratic butt-covering. Again, as with the Iraq WMD Investigation......the people sitting in the White House when the deed was done draw little fire for their part. It is always someone else's fault in the house of George W. Bush. It has been that way all his life.

I'm reviewing Chapter 8, "The System Was Blinking Red", about the pre-9/11 warnings. To sum up, everyone from the analysts up to DCI Tenet and counterterrorism chief Clarke were panicked because they knew something big was going to happen soon. Ashcroft, Rice, and Bush were indifferent. This chapter makes for very interesting reading.

Obviously, John Edwards is partly to blame, being on the intelligence committee. The report is very critical of that group.

(And remember, Edwards is basing his "experience" on that. Sheez.)

Take 500 some odd pages and boil it down:
Clinton knew there was a threat and took some steps to counter it (some successful, some not), Bush knew there was a threat but didn’t take steps to counter it. He had other fish to fry (and vacations to take).

Okay, if The System Was Blinking Red, then why in the hell would it not be Georgie Porgie's fault? It happened on his watch, and he choose to do nothing.

Why is the Left so full of liars? That is the only way that Kerry can win this November: if the Left and its whores in Big Media keep lying to the American people without being called on it.

Clinton did nothing substantive to stop Bin Laden. And he sent Berger to the Archives to retrieve and destroy the evidence of their mutual fuck-ups. Maybe the New York Times and Madame Couric would like for Berger's crimes to be forgoten, but real Americans aren't going to allow it.

And Bush did nothing Toby to stop Bin Laden at all. When all is said and done, it is ludicrous to claim that Bush and Clinton were equally at fault here, when the record shows that terror acts were stopped when Clinton was in office, and Bush's record shows vacations and inaction.

Go ahead and call us on our "lies" and we'll be happy to respond. And where exactly are our whores in the media? And how does that equate with the cathouse on your side of the aisle that is Fox News, MSNBC, the Washington Times, Clear Channel, Regnery Books, several major "think" tanks, all three corporate owners of the major broadcast networks, AOL/Time Warner, Viacom, the Wall Street Journal, the Murdoch empire of journalistic slop, the Chicago Tribune group, Scaiffe, Moon/UPI, etc...

That's a pretty full whorehouse right there....
