GOP is the party for racists and bigots. They have nowhere else to go. All GOP/conservatives are not racist and bigoted, but the pure whiteness of that party is obvious and their expressed visions are counter to any multi-racial aspirations. If you are white and don't like minorities, you are a Republican.
Posted by T2 at August 27, 2004 09:57 AMIf you're a Democrat the GOP hates you. In their eyes you don't have the right to speak or write what you think. Just being contrary to their opinion makes you un-American and actively helping out terrorists.
Ashcroft himself has said so. They think we are the enemy. They really do.
John Kerry is a traitor! some punk yelled at me at stopped traffic six weeks ago. That's precisely the sentiment these thugs hold to all free Americans--as traitors if they dare to speak out against anything the GOP does.
Posted by paradox at August 27, 2004 10:15 AMI saw a bumper sticker the other day that said: "Democrats: The Party of Traitors",
so no one can refute the idea that this theme is out there.
I resent it and dare anyone to say it to my face.
Posted by John B. at August 27, 2004 10:26 AMIs the Democratic Party racist?
Hey look!! I can cut and paste and search for all kinds of crap on the other side also.... give me a break!
Two thoughts on this. First off, it should be pointed out that most of the racial suppression techniques were honed by the Democrats when they controlled the south. Both parties have a vested interest at one time or another in reducing voter turnout. A clear sign that we need new parties.
Second, on the Ohio thing and Puffy. There is another aspect to this (I have really good sources on this which I can't divulge, but please believe that this is from the horse's mouth as it were). First, a representative of the museum told a press conference that Puffy had approached them about speaking, when actually someone had spent months pursuing him. Most celebs would have bailed at that point. Thrown in on top of that Laura Bush stating that she didn't want to share the stage with him (which she most definitely did state), and he was outta there.
So there is more to the story than you picked up, but that doesn't let Ms. Bush off the hook. The denial from the Bush spokesperson is just bull. My sources tell me that she was very clear that she didn't want Puffy there.
Posted by Daniel Maskit at August 27, 2004 11:13 AMTalking to co-workers who are bush supporters, it always comes down to bigotry. They hate blacks, or mexicans or gays, and they say that is why they like bush because bush can't say it but he thinks like they do. Also, the war in Iraq is very racist and the bush supporters are quick to say "nuke the whole f**kin country". They will say that "we gave them freedom" but they don't care a twit for Iraqi freedom. They feel that muslims are all terrorist and should be killed. bush suporters (as well as bush himself) can't understand how these f**kin a-habs could be fighting us. "We give them freedon and they fight us - nuke all them f**kers!" And that is a direct quote from a co-worker who loves bush.
Posted by GD at August 27, 2004 11:15 AMYou guys appear to have forgotten something even more fundamental to the GOoPer mindset than bigotry/hatred/fear. Selfishness or excessive pursuit of perceived self-interest is the conservative foundation that underlies the pillars of greed and fear.

Posted by at August 27, 2004 12:27 PMSince I usually vote a split ticket, that should qualify to be one half GOoPer. Also white, with German sounding last name. Sometimes fearful, and sometimes greedy. I just wish there was some way I could kick my own Ass.
Posted by Ed in St. Louis at August 27, 2004 01:32 PMThere is a way you can kick your own ass, Ed in St. Louis -- vote for Bush
Posted by T2 at August 27, 2004 01:34 PMT2, thank you for the advice, however, I already feel bad for current sins and transgressions. Just have to wait for wife to get home, to receive Ass-kicking.

OK, as long as you battle these giant spiders Allah is sending to combat U.S.
For all of you sane people out there, this came from the same site this yahoo, F&B, claims to have found an article that alleges the Democrats are as racist as I have demonstrated the Republican Party is.
You can do better than that, F&B!

No, actually, he can't.
But think of the fun of watching him race around the round room trying to find the cheese in the corner!
