Yes - best wishes, Mr. President - and get well soon - the world still needs your sanity, your intelligence, and that terrific smile of yours.

Dang! I thought I heard that on the radio a while ago. Bless his heart. Your party won't do better than that man for a long while to come.

Now will McDonald's start to do something about their fatty foods?!

Best of luck, Bill.

Sssshhhhh! TP thinks Clinton is still running for Prfesident.

Tim, Obama is a very appealing figure, but is too liberal for most Americans to take seriously. And Edwards? He is a demonstration of how shallow the American electorate can be. He is the least qualified nominee for the Vice Presidency since Dan Quayle.

I count myself an acute observer of emotional honesty ---and what I saw in Edwards' face last night at that disgusting midnight wake tells me he knows they're in trouble. He was clearly embarrassed to have been talked into showing up for that thing.

Toby, well, Obama plays very well with white conservaitves from Illinois. Does that translate to America? I dont know. What's embarassing is that the GOP is distancing themselves from their keynote speaker

Posted by Tim at September 3, 2004 04:13 PM

I wish they'd distance themselves from Obama's opponent while they're at it. Reparations? Gay-bashing? What's next? Is Keyes going to start rapping and keeping it real? What a dumbass!

Posted by Toby Petzold at September 3, 2004 06:47 PM

Toby: Was Keyes really the best that the Illinois GOP could do? Amazing. They had to know he was going to set the party back a decade, and yet they put him up anyway.

Posted by Steve Soto at September 3, 2004 09:31 PM

It's just incredibly hypocritical of Keyes to have even accepted the nomination, given what he said about Hillary's NY bid being an assault on Federalism itself or whatever the quote was. He just wants to get another 15 minutes. If Obama does, indeed, debate him, it should still be interesting.

I don't know what Obama's position on reparations is, but that is a point I am looking forward to seeing discussed.

Poor Bill. Let's see, hadn't he lost weight, and doesn't he exercise? Living clean doesn't always work! I hope to God his physicians are Democrats!

Why in the hell couldn't it have been fat, alcoholic
George W instead? Best wishes for a speedy recovery sir...even though I still hate you.

Hell, Ryan was a better candidate than Alan Keyes, even after his Fall from Grace™. At least with Ryan, you knew you were inevitably going to get some coverage of his ex.

Thank you, Bill Clinton, for 8 years of peace, prosperity and progress.

Jeri Ryan makes my pants talk.

Toby and I are in agreement once again.
