Remember they pulled the same garbage on Gore. Polls said he was losing ground, His campaign was in disarray, the Dem base was becoming disillusioned etc et al ad nauseum. Remember folks?

Well pay attention to what Kerry is doing under the radar and accept his victory. Act like a winner. That's what Republicans do and they got a dope running for President.

Daryl's right about the GOP acting like winners. Arrogant winners. But it only works because they have the Media in their back pocket. That is it, period. If they didn't control the message, they would be out in a week. We have lost the "war" in Iraq as any fool can see, but the GOP has instructed the Media to soft pedal it, putting it mildly, and therefore the general public only gets "insurgents are killed" and "things are going well". The Media Control is the only thing that keeps the GOP afloat, and that is a fact of life.

Worth remembering: At this point in 2000, Gore was ahead and the most recent polls showed him opening up double-digit leads in swing states.
