Here's another article (originally seen at Juan Cole's site but thought it was worth posting here too) that is interesting and relates to reality or the unreality of Junior's claims about Iraq. Just wish Junior would level with us once and for all, but that appears as unlikely as money growing on trees.
Posted by emal at September 27, 2004 05:11 AMSteve, they "can't get their act together" because it is just that, an act. The "policy" of the Bush Admin in Iraq is non-existent. There has never been a plan, only a dream. And that dream turned to a nightmare within days after the initial invasion. As has been pointed out by may escapees from the Bush Admin, all they (Rove) thinks about is politics......thats their one and only specialty (albeit dirty politics). They have exhibited absolutely no abilities in any other area, and they won't.
Posted by T2 at September 27, 2004 06:14 AMThe Iraq War has become like Vietnam in several important ways which is why the administration really has no act to get together. The war is lost and like Johnson and Nixon before them both the administration and the Kerry campaign know it but can't say so for political reasons. There will be no elections in Iraq, it's all political spin for U.S. voters. Once again Americans are dying for politics.
I real indication of how Iraq is like Vietnam is the troops there can't tell friend from foe not even among senior Iraqi officers.
