It's amazing how many 'fibs' Cheney told in the debate - I would have thought he was smarter than that - and many thanks to the bloggers, who overnight, truth-checked, and discredited his claims.

It's not amazing to me.

Cheney is a war felon who should be hanged after a fair trial. Of course he lied constantly. That's what war felons do.

The NYT -- Four years ago they ran a front page story about Gore's supposed "exaggerations." I looked in vain for the story about Cheney's blatant lies today. Instead, all I found was a piece by Wilgoren and editor Bill Keller! about Kerry's "problem" with religion.

Cheney is truly a world-class liar. It's breathtaking, at times.
He will say anything to win the moment,
knowing that the truth will dribble out later
at a much lower volume.
These debates are really valuable and need to be expanded for subsequent elections.
There should be five or six at 90 minutes, at least.
