This last bit reminds me of a joke I heard frequently during the protests before the war:

Bush: "Why should I care what the majority think? They didn't vote for me."

I don't know where the Guardian is getting the idea that anti-American sentiment is at an "all-time high in the Muslim world"--the Pew Report itself http://people-press.org/reports/pdf/185.pdf shows very clearly that support for the U.S. has, in all comparable cases, *increased* since March. (See page 29.)

Michael S: You're nitpicking. The point is that it is incredibly low, and it hasn't gotten much better since March.
