Comments: And We Thought Florida Was Close!

If the idiot son of George Bush really wants to have a legacy, a legacy of more than blood and death, he should force voting reforms addressing the myriad of problems we've seen during past elections.

It would be easy: 1. A single ballot format nation-wide; 2. Magnetic ink bingo markers with which to make ballot choices; 3. Ballot scanners to read the ballots; 4. a printout with the white copy to the voter to verify their vote and a yellow copy to election board used along with ballots to verify the vote; 5. Software more secure than my email.

On the other hand, maybe the better legacy is blood and death and leave noble causes to others who would wear them well. And, lets face it, the past has worked well enough for the heel .

Hack the vote.

There is no more chilling a screech than when Repubs think they've been cheated out of an election they cheated to win.

Not to toot my own ... oh, who am I kidding?

Tooting my own horn, since a week ago Monday I've been writing a series of dKos diaries discussing the day-by-day tallies in the Gregoire-Rossi race. Each report includes projections based on county-specific results and estimated numbers of ballots remaining to be tallied.

An interesting sidelight is the role of the third candidate in the race -- Libertarian Ruth Bennett, whose vote total is currently 63,062 (2.25% of the total). Ordinarily, you'd expect a Libertarian to pull votes from the Republican, but Bennett is a lesbian who ran on a platform that includes strong emphasis on her support for gay marriage.

Forgive me, o great pessimist who has logged at least 15 posts on this site today, not to mention untold replies to comments (rude and otherwise)...

When you say "Payback's a bitch, MoFo!" you do actually mean to imply that you think yes, the democrats are cheating, and serves those maternally fornicating republicans right?

As I depart, allow me to bow in obeisance at your prodigious output. Ah, that quantity were quality!
