Posted by Amigo at February 24, 2005 02:28 PMHappy Anniversay Steve. Wow, I can't believe it's been two years. So much has happened-primaries, elections, scandals etc. Thanks for providing a place for people like me to vent!
Posted by ga6thdem at February 24, 2005 02:42 PMCongratulations, Steve!
Two years is a long time when you publish 365 days a year. Incredible job--thank you.
Posted by paradox at February 24, 2005 02:48 PMI’d like to thank all of the fine editors who subsequently came aboard to assist me and improve this blog, most notably Mary Ratcliff who has tirelessly kept this place humming many times.
At the risk of embarrassing Mary, I'll tell y'all: This place was broke somethin' awful a coupla weeks ago, and her efforts to upgrade us out of the Inferno were extensive. Very extensive.
These comment/trackback spammers are a strange breed of parasite indeed. I count myself tremendously lucky to work for a blog that has somebody with both the technical skillz and the sheer fortitude to protect the rest of us.
Two more years! Two more years!
Posted by Matt Davis at February 24, 2005 02:50 PMExcellent layout, tight writing and a willingness to hear all sides (unlike some, mostly right wing blogs) HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY HAPPY RETURNS. :)
Posted by rlprather at February 24, 2005 02:54 PMCongratulations. Left Coaster is a daily read. Great commentary on a range of topics.
Posted by Quiddity at February 24, 2005 03:08 PMQuiddity! Where ya been, baby?!
God, that reminds me--it's been far too long since I visited your blog.
(For those who have never seen it, Quiddity's blog boils the world down into graphics/charts that will have you in stitches.)
Posted by Matt Davis at February 24, 2005 03:43 PMSteve -
Congratulations on two years as blogmaster without burning out!

Now lets all eat cake.
Posted by chris65203 at February 24, 2005 06:07 PMA Very Happy Birthday! This is a great blog -- quick, fair and balanced (unlike Fox!).
I visit it at least 4 times a day, and I have recommended it to several people on my e-mail list.
Thanks again.
Jonathan
Posted by at February 24, 2005 07:13 PMHappy birthday! I appreciate the fact that this blog isn't too down on people like Petzold and Muckdog and invites a lively discourse. It's good to see in the American Vernacular, where so much is hate spewed ala Coulter. Thank you for all you have done.
Posted by sf at February 24, 2005 07:58 PMHappy Birthday
Your hard work is appreciated.
A Toast to the best of the best in the blogosphere...great job Steve and crew
Posted by Goyo at February 24, 2005 08:24 PMFolks, the truth of the matter is that we couldn't do it without you. As for Muck and Toby et. al., the truth is that every now and then they make good points too. (waiting for thunderclap from above...)
See, I am in a good mood today.
Posted by Steve Soto at February 24, 2005 08:33 PMYou guys and gals are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!
Posted by Mikhail Capone at February 24, 2005 08:46 PMI love ROOF too, what a great guy, yeah!
Posted by chris65203 at February 24, 2005 09:33 PMawe shucks. IMO I'm incredibly lucky to get to work with Steve and gang on this blog. When Steve is on fire, no one is better at providing excellent strategic advice. For proof of this statement: finally we are seeing how effective the Truth Corps concept is -- it's designed to plague Bush as he goes about trying to peddle his lies and, boy, does it work.
As Steve says, we have some great writers and some really great readers who provide so much of the insightful commentary this site is known for these days. Thank you all for the community, the thoughtful exchange and the hope that we can actually make a difference together.
Happy blogoversity, Steve.
Posted by Mary at February 24, 2005 10:03 PMTwo years of hard work, and it is still insigthful, encouraging, and a great read!
Thanks Steve and the rest of the dedicated contributors.

The Left Coaster is an unrecognized jewel, right along with First-Draft.
Posted by idiosynchronic at February 25, 2005 07:03 AMCongrats! - I have always found this literate site thoughtful - many more years to ya!
Posted by Dorothy M. Ligon at February 25, 2005 07:14 AMCongratulations Steve and all.
