Behold it can't be the freak is me!
Amen, Duckman.
Thanks for the laugh cali,
and finally, don't forget that Bush has basically dismantled the superfund by no longer taking to task corps. that pollute.
Posted by chris65203 at March 3, 2005 05:23 PMYeah, and you turn on FOX channel and see a slinky VIctoria's Secret model in bra and panties doing the go-go a go-go. But that's ok, cause its making money for FOX.
Posted by T2 at March 3, 2005 06:02 PMDuckman,
Ya' ask, "What did we do after the attack of 9/11? Nothing."
Now, I know that can't be true. Most ev'r'body went shopping, didn't they? Je'st like I as't 'em to?
Posted by George W. Bush at March 3, 2005 06:02 PMI wonder how many terrorism briefings Bush has missed while he is out on the road pushing SS reform? Who will he blame when the next attack happens?
Posted by just a guy at March 3, 2005 06:12 PMthe home of free speech, liberty, tea parties, redressing of grievances, and other inalienable rights
Where the hell is this place? I would like to live there.
Who will he blame when the next attack happens?
Why, the left of course. It has nothing to do with his posession of the IQ of a kumquat.
Posted by phidipides at March 3, 2005 06:36 PM* In early 2001, John Ashcroft had the Justice Dept. pay $8000 to cover the naked breasts of two statues in the DOJ building in DC.
* From April to September of that year, the FBI was extensively involved in an investigation of prostitution in New Orleans.
* Targeting Internet distribution of pornography was a DOJ priority in 2001, but was unfortuntely interrupted by 9/11, according to ABC News.
This indecency stuff has been vital to our national security...
Posted by With NEW Washday Goodness! at March 3, 2005 06:40 PMI watched the Frontline "Soldier's Heart" the other night and I am happy to say it wasn't censored. I'll be donating to my local affiliate (which I wasn't going to since The News Hour has gotten so biased).
Personally I find Coulter, Limbutt and O'Reilly's hatemongering much more offensive than any "wardrobe malfunction" or swear word. And now politicians saying people should be human shields...WTF?
Have they stopped running viagra commercials during prime time?
Posted by Sharon at March 3, 2005 06:42 PMWhat a righteous rant.
You'll be thrilled to know Abu Gonzales is not only preoccupied with porn (which takes me back to Ye Good Olde Days when Reagan's Ed Meese embarked on the same tired crusade), he's also extremely concerned ayahuasca is corrupting the minds of our precious youth:
"In one of his first acts as US Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales has asked the US Supreme Court to overturn a series of federal court rulings allowing a New Mexico church to use an hallucinogenic tea known as ayahuasca in its rituals. Ayahuasca is both illegal and potentially dangerous, the government argued."
Apparently, there are people of some hubris who prefer to have a one-on-one with God as opposed to settling for George "I trust He speaks through me" Bush to be their divine middleman. I can't imagine why.

The chimporer knows all about peyote and jimson weed. "Pass the mescaline, Laurie."
Posted by phidipides at March 4, 2005 12:09 AMwe need to focus on checks and balances and not on freedom.
Posted by Jim Hurt at March 4, 2005 08:07 AMWell Jim, that's an interesting notion, but why not both?
One's a tool to ensure the other, so really we need to sharpen our tools, not lose our focus on the big picture by looking at a small, but important, part of it.
Baseball bats, we need those too.
