To say that I am disappointed in the new choice for the Pope is a huge understatement. I am trying desperately to keep an open mind and to give Him some time, but it is difficult with his track record of intolerance and discrimination. My spouse and I were both born and raised (even married) in the Catholic Church. Over the past decade we both watched as the Church abandoned many of the moral values and principles that formed the basis of our belief system (we live in the heart of the Church sex scandal and the gay marriage issue). The Church had left us. As my spouse said the other day, guess this new Pope doesn't really plan on returning to His flock and people like me anytime soon. I sighed in frustration and agreed. We didn't walk away from the church the church walked away from us, and this new Leader looks like He wants to hightail it even further away from us.

This new pope was a close associate of JP2, supposedly hand picked by him as a potential successor...

JP2 clearly referred to gwb as the antichrist in May 2003...

For one, I'm glad there is a new Pope. They drove me up the wall with phone calls and emails trying to get me take the slot. I just had to put my foot down and say, "God-damnit, no! Jesus F-ing Christ, leave me alone! The benefits are okay but the pay sucks!"

Look, this guy is so old he doesn't even get a woody around the choir boys. Unless they stuff a ventilator up his butt and tube his guts to feed him when he's brain is dead, he'll be out of there quick. Have you ever seen a really old German? No. It's the life style. Ass-loads of really strong sweet coffee, chain-smoking cigarettes, and eating nothing but overcooked starches and fat is what these people exist on. Look at that pale face and and dark circles under his eyes. There's not enough blood getting to his head to power a good limerick. And even if they did put him on life support, how would you ever differentiate the decisions he makes as Pope from those that would be made by a monkey throwing darts at a dart board with conservative catholic sayings pasted on it? "No contraception!" Damn, I bet he struggled with that one! Toss another dart, Pope-monkey.

Unless you are Catholic, why in the fuck would you ever care who is elected pope. So now, bush is not only a war criminal, hates all poor people, caused 9/11, he is also a cardinal in the catholic church?
