They worship at White People's Churches

These people worship burning crosses, they just wear business suits instead of white sheets.

Hey, unless there's a big neon sign flashing "Filibuster," multi-colored and Las Vegas Style," over the Senator's heads, with scantily clad young women in high, high, heels covered in rhinestones, holding placards that say "Filibuster" and prancing down the Senate aisles during debate, it's not a Filibuster.

Don't you people know anything?

How about: not mine.

Michaelw, have you ever heard John McCutcheon's song "Ashcroft's Army"? One of the lines: "Some terrorists wear pinstripe suits."

Go listen to the mp3s, free and legally, here.

Also check out the songs "Hail to the Chief" (the lyrics are entirely Bush's malapropisms), "Talking Pat & Jerry Blues", and "The List".

Anyone else wonder if the GOP would be trying this hard to force these nominees through if they were men? For some reason, I have the feeling either a) men would have been confirmed already or b) the GOP would have just dropped it.

I was watching the evening news earlier and they interviewed the preacher who claims to have scuttled Bill Gates' support for the gay rights thing there in Washington.

He's black.

Benito, you miss the point. While someone's family background is somewhat influential in their adult worldview, it is not determinate. Many a conservative has been born of liberal upbringings and the reverse is also true. However, for judicial appointments there is a different measure, as with most jobs. Evaluate her on job performance, not family history (and then you will see the folly of electing the boy king and the reason we do not elect higher level judges -- just part of the beauty of checks and balances) and it will be clear to you that she is not qualified.

Oh!

Well then it's ok.

(That's what you wanted to hear. Right?)

Bendito:

Strange, but I don't remember saying anywhere in the post that the nomination was racist. Can you point to where I said the nomination was racist?

Posted by Steve Soto at April 27, 2005 05:25 PM

Racists, Racists, Racists.

Bigdog was correct when he said this card is severly overplayed.
