Comments: Looking At Clouds From Both Sides - NOW!

Very good guys. Reminicent of that great LBJ add of 1964. It's a shame he wouldn't recognize y'all for Democrats. I'm starting to think a lot of people wouldn't recognize y'all as Democrats. You've lost your grounding. The 89th Congress, "what a Democratic majority we built. 68 Senators, 295 House members, the WH, we could pass anything. Those Republicans are inconsequencial." Dream on folks, thats not you now. But keep this up and you'll be the "inconsequencial" party real soon. Keep practicing your punitive liberalism and more of America will grow 'red' when votes are counted.

Nice picture tho, and the Joni Mitchell words brought back memories.

Posted by peter at May 1, 2005 02:29 AM

I'm not sure what 'punitive' liberalism is. It is hard to imagine that it compares in any way to the fascism that typifies the current Repuke regime. And 'fascism' is the right word.

The neocons made the move into Iraq as part of the global strategy for domination which includes the attempt to avoid the imminent problems of peak oil and the catastrophic effects it will have for America. I suggest that anyone who comments on the current administration do a search on (and read) the information available on 'Peak Oil' and A Report of The Project for the New American Century September 2000. Add in the information available on the Christian fundamentalist/evangelical theocratic movement and you have a real mix for disaster. If after reading all of that, you still support the Bush administration, then, I suppose, we will be intractable enemies. See you on the American battlefield to come.

By the way, I was alive when the LBJ/Goldwater ads were shown on TV and watched them. I actually liked Barry Goldwater but he was a true Republican, a statesman and nothing like the crappers that currently typify the republican part.

"Take heed that no man deceive you." [Matthew 24:4] Jesus repeated this warning against unparalleled deception, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." [Matthew 24:11]. Once more, a third time, Jesus warned, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." [Matthew 24:24] When God repeats something three times in Scripture, He is attaching the most significance to it possible.

Don't much care for biblical references. If the false prophets mentioned above refer to bush, frist, delay, dobson, falwell, robertson and the rest of that evil trash....then I guess maybe there is some truth in the book. Trying to 'Christ-like' is one thing. Calling onself a christian..... is, well, something else again. I don't see many christians trying to be 'Christ-like' -- at least not among the fundamentalist, evangelical right wing.

I take the post as a warning against people profess to being a Christian, but who actually come as sheep in wolves clothing, like Bush. You cannot be a member of the Illuminati (a group claiming special religious enlightment) and be anything less than a deceiver of truth.

Posted by Judith at May 1, 2005 03:52 AM

The right-winged religious zealots are not Christian. Once we understand that premise, then we can move on to their actual goals of dominance, power and furthering the fascist agenda.

Posted by Judith at May 1, 2005 03:55 AM

Dr. R.W., the bibical words are indeed a warning against people like Bush and the rest of his insiders.

This shit is going down. North Korea is launching rockets in Japan's direction.

Posted by at May 1, 2005 06:11 AM

Go to DU website re: Korean missles. One comment a DU'r made has to do with media misdirection away from Iraq carnage. Misdirection always. The neocon dominionists are preparing the way for an invasion of Iran. Oil, Oil, Oil. Power and control.

And, yes I agree. The right wing extremist fundamentalists who support Bush et. al. are dupes and most are christian in name only. Easily manipulated sheep. The neocons count on it; that, and the general level of self-centeredness, stupidity and ignorance of the majority of Americans. It makes me very worried, sad, and mad. There's a bad moon on the rise.

Very nicely done, and incredibly important this is known to those of us on the leftcoast. Were N. Korean to fling a nuke tipped obsolete yet effective Soviet ICBM willy-nilly eastward, S. Alaska, Western and Central Oregon and Washington, and N. California perhaps as far south as Frisco are its extreme range.

Inconcievible? The only successful attack on the continental US during WWII were bomb-laden paper ballons wafted across the Pacific, one of which provided a bit of excitement for a group of South/Central Oregon deer hunters.

Not correct.

Japanese Balloon Bombs

On May 5, 1945, six picnickers were killed in Oregon when a balloon bomb they dragged from the woods exploded.

Let's not minimize what is a current real problem by linking it to incorrect historical data.

North Korean nukes are a worry - but they wouldn't be so much of a worry without the incompetence and belligerence of Bu$hCo. Their insanely ignorant inability to act like adults in the real world is turning what should be a diplomatic issue into a realistic scenario for a regional nuclear war which would affect the two countries which hold the most of our Federal debt notes.

Suppose these two countries choose to believe the accusation that the US is the reason nuclear weapons are spreading across the planet. Should they not act to halt this?

According to the Bu$hCo doctrine they should. China out numbers us 5 to 1, and Japan is still sore about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Caution is called for, but isn't going to be delivered by Bu$hCo.

Pessimist:

Right. Because Bush is responsible for Kim being a goddamned liar.

Their insanely ignorant inability to act like adults in the real world is turning what should be a diplomatic issue into a realistic scenario for a regional nuclear war which would affect the two countries which hold the most of our Federal debt notes.

Your faith in Kim Jong-Il is absurd. Why don't you just admit that the Clinton-Carter cabal got fooled? No time for your partisan apologizing, Pessimist. But do tell us why anyone should trust the North Koreans.

A very dim illuminati...like a 15-watt appliance bulb in a dark basketball gym.

But didn't you all just love Lil' Laura saying he enjoys "milking" males?

Toby --

Actually, North Korea is sane and rational, compared with BushCo. North Korea's M.O. is to scream and wail like a spoiled six year old, until it gets what it wants from the USA, China, and South Korea.

BushCo, on the other hand, promotes lunatics like Bolton, who flat out lie about the intelligence we have -- for the expressed purpose of provoking war where there is no threat.

Now -- which of these is the more rational approach?

Posted by ck at May 1, 2005 11:00 AM

But do tell us why anyone should trust the North Koreans.

Very well.

They are very open about their intentions with their nuclear program. The South Koreans were sure that they could deal with the North inspite of the nuclear program, and China was having some result influencing the North until Bu$hCo bungled things badly.

What a surprise.

So now that I've answered your question, you get to answer one of mine:

Tell us why anyone should trust the Bu$h (mis)Administration?

Judith, Bush is a lackey of the illuminati. Although it sounds corny to use that term. Perhaps it is the best, in a way. But right now, I tend to think of the immediate group as neocon facsists - which are also hackneyed somewhat but accurately descriptive.

Bush is too stupid to be one of the upper levels of the hierarchy. But he is a good tool. Who likes 'tools'

Posted by Dr. RW at May 1, 2005 04:15 PM

Dr. RW. You are absolutely right. Bush has always been and will continue to be a tool of the powerful, and a good one at that. I mentioned the group calling themselves the Illuminati because it is associated with certain secret societies, whose sole purpose is to take over all the world's valuable resources, i.e., oil. Bush has admitted being a member of The Brotherhood, and therefore, directly the Illuminati. However, Bush plays the role of compliant subordinate to the Puppet Masters.

Judith. yep. Got to go to bed. But wanted to see if anybody here had watched the video of David Ray Griffin's presentation at the University of Washington regarding the bush/neocon involvement in 9-11? (from his book, 'The New Pearl Harbor'). It was also shown on CSPAN. Very well done. Very respectable guy and believable. The video can be streamed from here: http://www.911blogger.com/2005/04/proper-release-of-griffin-in-madison.html

It's been rumored that every modern president has been a member of this club, the Illuminati. That would also place Carter and Clinton as members as well as Kerry, ALGORE, HRC, even LBJ and Kennedy, as well as most of the GOP presidents. Equal oportunity club here. We must fear them.
