Comments: Keith Olbermann And John Conyers Smack Down White House For Hypocrisy On Newsweek

Who gives a crap if McClellan resigns!

Condi-lies-alot Rice should go just for the hypocrisy related to single sourcing stories and accountability.

Scott McClellan's nothing but a meaningless turd.

Go, Olbermann!! I swear the fact that he still has a show gives me hope. How weird that he and Jim Lampley, the sports guys, have the guts to buck the system.

Olbermann's show is a oasis in a barren desert called TV snooze. Keep up the good work, Keith.

Pass on the right to veto an explosive action, let the action occur, and then slam the person who committed the action. Where I have heard that one before? Oh yeah, April Glaspie telling Saddam Hussein that the US had no interest in being involved in Iraq's 'border conflict' with Kuwait.

Wonder what Isikoff did to make RoveCo decide his wings needed clipping. Of course, as with Saddam, this may have just been a misunderstanding by our so-called leaders about what people they think of as friends actually are up to.

We need to give Keith some kind of award......and/or some private security vouchers.

Scottie is a slimy ass tool. Fuck him.

Just a thought here...

Maybe the right-wing nut jobs "allowed" the story to pass through the Pentagon filters solely to let the story blow up in Newsweek's face. They did a good job discrediting Dan Rather and CBS, Katie Couric and the Today Show, now they are moving to the magazines. We already know that newspaper subscriptions are down (and that Ann Coulter or was it Laura Inghram that said she wished Timothy McVeigh parked the truck outside the NY Times.)

It's part of their scheme...there are no accidents.

It's great that Olbermann is a voice in the wilderness, the problem is that means there's a lot of wilderness. Most headlines blare that Newsweek retracts and don't mention that Myers has already debunked the connection of Newsweek to the violence and they certainly don't mention that this is really just old news.

What I find most discouraging is that Newsweek had reported that a high ranking source had seen the information in an investigative report on the conditions in Gitmo. Why isn't ANYBODY in the media saying to little greasy Scotty, "Hey, if it's not in the report, why don't you just show it to us?" The goddamn media has just accepted that secrecy in govt. is all right and they're going to be damn grateful for whatever shit The liitle terrier feeds them. They aren't reporters, they're just Scotty's little bitches.

Emperor george aka king george administration is upset about the truth and (as his awol) again is trying to blame the Newsweek for the death in the late anti-bush demonstration in the Arab world. When will he rake credit for our soldiers and innocent civilian death in is illegal WAR?
White House hits 'Newsweek' over Koran row

While our noses are buried into another big white house denial, Witch we will get for a week on TV, their meddling for OIL in South America is hardly notice. There has been development in Ecuador that Condi does not like and has all our great leaders worry. Here a few sites.

Why doesn't the Newsweek mafia do a full scale expose of the British memo re: the U.S. decision to go to war with Iraq? Wouldn't that be about as effective a payback as one could ever imagine? And would this not go a long way in establishing a level playing field with the administration apparatchiks?

Keith Olbermann - damn, he's good!
Eric Altermann - ditto

Thanks, guys!

Why doesn't Newsweek do a feature article about the harrassment they've endured from this cabal for telling the truth?
