Comments: George Galloway Bitch-Slaps Norm Coleman

Schweeet! Someone with the stones to give it to these warmongering assholes with both barrels! We need more Galloways here.

Posted by ran at May 17, 2005 11:44 AM

I'd settle for one. Unfortunately his brand of speaking truth to power is a thing of the past in the home of the brave.

The ghost of Joseph Welch is cheering today!

Bravo Mr. Galloway!

Man I am from Minnesota and I don't like that guy. Oh this is good. I need a transcript or better yet, an audio clip.

Let's hope this will helps us defeat him in 2008. He only got elected because Wellstone died, and the way he goes around like he represents Minnesota really annoys me.

The problem is that few public figures on the democratic left have the arrogance, nastiness, or fundamentalist righteous certainty to match those on the right. Galloway does in spades. I am not convinced I want politics dominated by people like him or the republican neo-cons. But for today anyway a little fighting of fire with fire felt ok.

I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!

Here a link to it .

too bad Dean already got the job as Dem Party Leader, this Galloway bloke would have been a great choice.

Posted by T2 at May 17, 2005 12:49 PM

God, today, I love Georgie G - both barrels, he f**king launched an intercontinental ballistic missile at them.

WooHoo!!

Posted by Shaggydabbydo at May 17, 2005 01:00 PM

I've figured out where all the WMD's went to - they were smelted down and made into a set of balls that Georgie wore today.

Posted by Shaggydabbydo at May 17, 2005 01:03 PM

Will Galloway's comments get any play on the MSM today/tonight?

Posted by Trieatalot at May 17, 2005 01:50 PM

In a word...WOW!

To summarize what happened today, think of Coleman as the big bully in high school looking for a patsy to beat on to impress his girlfriend. He sees Galloway as the patsy and picks a fight. But instead the patsy ends up beating the bully every which way from Sunday in front of the whole school.

I believe George concluded his remarks by challenging Norm Coleman to meet him in the parking lot after school.

The only way that could get even more embarrasing for Coleman is if Georgie stood up on the table dropped his pants and in the words of Mike Tyson "Challenge anyone to stand up to the real man!"

Gawddamn. And wrapped in a sexy Scottish accent to boot.

Posted by idiosynchronic at May 17, 2005 02:36 PM

Un Farking-believable! Way to KIck Some chickenhawk Ass! WooHooo!!!!!

That was amazing! Passionately truthful and powerfully blunt! Amen...everything I have wanted to have said in a public government forum and then some. Thank you Mr. Galloway, you just made my day.

Coleman and Bushco will rue the day they tried to intimidate/censor/smear a politician from the UK like Mr. Galloway. He's not like the typical pussyfoot democrats or American media of the likes of Joe Leiberman, CBS producers,or Newsweak editors you're used to dealing with in this country. This man will actually fight back armed with just words spouting the truth and the facts. Damn we need this man on our soil more often speaking the truth in front of our cameras spelling it out just as he did...this administration has been nothing but pack of LIES!

Can you spell Backfire Mr. Coleman, Mr. Bush, Mr. Rove? Challenge a man with real integrity and it comes back to bite you lying pansies in the arse. YeeHaw! Worst. Administration. EVER!

Oh how I wish he challenged Coleman to a Zellish duel!

I remember with much sadness when Bush's team was defaming Gore, and I thought to myself, "all Al would have to do is challenge Bush to a duel and this election would be in the bag..."

el tiene cojones grande.

Normie, Normie, the little worm, Watch Galloway make him squirm! I'll bet Norms asshole is about three sizez bigger tonight than it was this morning. And I hope it fucking hurts the little twirp! What an asstool he is.

Posted by Vinnie at May 17, 2005 06:33 PM

Galloway told the truth and exposed the smoke screens. These truths will escape many tranquilized U.S. citizens.

Posted by smooth at May 17, 2005 07:22 PM

How do I donate to Galloway's party? Christ, donating to the Dems is like flushing the Koran. It just fucks things up.

Posted by phidipides at May 17, 2005 07:47 PM

I think it is safe to say that Galloway is the presumed victor of today's testimony in front of Norm Coleman's panel. I say this because Drudge doesn't have a single link pointing to this story on his site.

Posted by Bob at May 17, 2005 07:54 PM

Apparently this guy is pretty experienced in deflecting charges. Opponents of his in Britain have tried to smear him and it never works. We can see why. :) It was quite breath taking. Something about that Scottish accent that makes it even better.

What did Carl Levin do wrong?

Galloway certainly did bitch slap Coleman and the MSNBC clip is a great to watch. But are you sure that Carl Levin did anything "pathetic?" In my opinion he is one of the best -- maybe even THE best - senator in the entire senate. He is usually very strong and critical of the Bush Administration. The video clip you linked to doesn't show Levin, and the only quote I could find from Levin is him saying the U.S. was guilty in oil-for-food too.

What didn't you like about Levin's performance?

Norm Coleman is also supporting Bolton nomination to the UN tells a lot where is stand. Another “follow the leader” for emperor george!
Daily Kos mention this about him.

“Coleman first essentially said that since Bush was elected, all his guys should get confirmed. Then, like Allen, he turned it into a "the UN is a problem" speech instead of a talk about Bolton.”
