I had fun fun fun. Since I'll be moving later this summer to go back to university, I'm making the rounds of my local friends. Saw my friend's 16 year old play tuba in a parade in Ann Arbor...next year he wants to play tennis instead of be in band, so I invited myself to take pictures of him and the weather was wonderful. Another couple on the other side of Detroit had me over for dinner, and grilled salmon and corn on the cob....I had a hotdog too though my friend's girlfriend thought we were nuts, but I was just following Dan's lead. Fun fun fun.
Posted by Sharon at May 31, 2005 03:44 AMTerrific weekend to a terrific week. Spent our first full week with our new daughter in the house. She's absolutely fabulous. Spent a good bit of time doing things with my older daughter wanting to keep her from feeling overlooked with all the attention to the new baby. Fortunately, we had great weather here in NY so we got to get out and have a great time together.
Posted by muckcat at May 31, 2005 06:02 AMWorking on my mom's Living Will. Made me think, after monopolizing the Media for weeks, not to mention the GOP Leadership, isn't it about time to see the Schiavo autopsy report? Was she really a cognizent, thinking lady trapped in a paralyzed body, or brain dead as her doctors and husband contended. I am not seeking the gruesome, but given the Media frenzy over Terri, why do you suppose no one has asked to see the results of th autopsy...yeah, maybe it *should* be private - but Bill Frist and Tom DeLay deserve the truth.

Posted by Mary at May 31, 2005 07:20 AMI grilled (Fire Bad!), caught a couple of movies. The town is always roadblocked for this holiday (seat belt checks, don't you know. They also look at your license and run your numbers. Sometimes want to see in the trunk. A bit much for a seatbelt check, if you ask me. Thank God for the Paid-triot Act. I'm safe from myself!).
Posted by phidipides at May 31, 2005 07:44 AMSpeaking of movies.
Saw Revenge of the Sith on a break from diaper duty. I thought it was the best of the three prequels but I felt that about halfway through the story started to feel rushed. I hope they do a longer version for DVD release that fleshes out the second half of the film a bit. There were several awkward moments of sappy dialogue. Don't want to be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it and intends to but the scene when Darth Vader (with costume) emerges was really weak.
Also, caught Madagascar with my daughter. She loved it. I thought it was good. Didn't feel a strong bond between Marty and Alex characters ala Shrek and Donkey though. Some good laughs provided by the penguins, the monkeys and the lemurs.
Posted by muckcat at May 31, 2005 08:06 AMThe weatherman here in central NY was wrong again and it was a beautiful day. Drove up to Cayuga Lake (a Finger Lake in NY) and ended up painting signs in a window with my wife all afternoon and missed the nice day. Damn had a great time!!!!!!
