Comments: What time is it?

Great rant, Duckman.

Shit, Duckman! What do you want us to do! Just tell us!

Me and my family fought Schwarzenegger. My mom even got interviewed by the LA Times denouncing him. But we failed. Our heads hang in shame. We admit our failure humbly.

Get on your local parties ass and demand action. Let the State Partai hear it, Chairman Torres hear it, let Joe Biden hear it.

It's not people like you, it's people like them, it's people that don't give a shit, people that should know better, people with their fingers in the wind, people who can do something about it, lots of people that let their fears and prejudices and self interests trump doing the right thing.

People like you, who do their part, take some action and then wonder what else more they could have done are not the problem. The Hamlets and MacBeths who vacilate or let others push them into bad choices, the flaccid jonah goldbergs of the left who spew, no, project, trembling fear of responsibility, are the problem.

It ain't you, my big eared friend! It's those who refuse to see what they're dealing with, who cannot comprehend the evil of the demagoguery and lust of the right, because they've bought into it themselves a bit, or a lot, and don't think they would ever do that! And until they see that, they will continue to be a problem.

So let them know, help those who do know, push the media, support people like AMERICAblog, Barbara Boxer (Love Her!), papers like the Toledo Blade or the Minn Star Tribune, well I could go on, just keep pushing. And maybe drag a couple more with you!

I gotta eat and go to work dammit.

Face it, the GOP is the pay for play party.

The only thing more lacking than character and integrity in Democratic officials across the board and at all federal, state, and local levels -- with a few notable exceptions, such as Howard Dean, Dennis Kucinich, and the new Montana Governor -- is COURAGE. Courage to tell the Rethugs they are liars, we're not going to take it anymore, and to fuck off.

It's sort of like the Pistons and Heat last night in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Miami didn't know how to win and was afraid of losing; Detroit knew how to win and was willing to have the courage to follow their game plan, and EXPECTED to win, but would accept a loss IF THEY PLAYED (in the words of Coach Larry Brown) THE RIGHT WAY!!

Until Dems fight from their guts, knowing they are right and willing to accept that they might not convice the public and therefore get beat at the polls or in legislative and turf battles, then they will continue to be viewed as wishy-washy and lose anyway. As the old saying goes, if you're going to lose you might as well go down swinging and take some of the enemy with you.
