Comments: With Bush, Ideology Replaces Facts

When we have voices like Waxman and Ivins out there, people who are clearly making sense--good, old-fashioned Yankee common sense--how is it that we on the left are always portrayed as the ones who are out of step with reality?

Matt, in the NY Times today there was a piece in their Week In Review section (not online as far as I can see) about Lifestyles Left and Right. This is a piece about a poll on how Democrats and Republicans describe themselves. One difference:

And in the touchy-feeling department, Democrats said they were more likely to let their heart rule their heads. Republicans were head-first all the way.

Yeah, the Republicans are diving head-first into a concrete pool without water -- no wonder they believe the garbage put out by this administration.
