Cheney lies, so what. We knew that, and Lord knows you guys covered it often enough. Unfortunately, the people didn't care. They got their news spoon fed. They wonder why the country is going down the tubes and folks wonder about the higher than 50% disapproval rates, and then gosh Jim, why the hell are we doing so poorly? This man said all the things we needed to hear and didn't follow through. What do we do? Well, the stupidest 51% of the country voted for these morons, and all of us are reaping what was sewn. Only a strong DNC can fight these folks. However our Democratic party is falling over itself trying to cut Howard off at the knees. It is not status quo anymore, we need someone to call a spade a spade. HD does so, but gosh thats too scary for other Dems to contemplate, actually standing up for something. Cheney lies. Bush lies. The Repbubs lie. Its that simple. You guys can call him on it, but until we make it stick. All we do is read it on the blogs.

Yea Terry McAuliffe raised a lot of money but check out dKos on where Dean's money is coming from its estimated that 12 out of the $14million hes raised this year had come from donations of $250 or less. His money comes from real people and thats why DC fatcat politicians are pissed (I gave a whopping $10 last week. Dean is legitimizing a wing of the party that doesnt answer to corporations or millionaires. Read a little about him personally I think you'll like what you find. Yea the guy comes from money, but he lives frugally, only big ticket item the guy spends money on is his kids' education. He's a doctor by profession not a politician and I think that makes all the difference. He established his professional ethos and values outside the realm of politics giving him in my opinion a much stronger moral foundation on which to enter government. For once the Democratic party has done right by this guy Give him another year and I believe we will all be very pleased at the result (even inside the beltway). Oh and don't worry about this guy getting his legs taken out from under him by his own party, it happened once already in '04 during the primaries and hes rebounded with flying colors.
