Comments: The Multi-Coaster Roundup

I've become a big fan of LinkTV. It does inciteful journalism on par with BBC's foreign office.

Only problem, you have to have satellite tv to watch it.

I noted with some amusement the statement by Frede Barnes that Bush's declining approval ratings indicate "substative achievement and lasting reform."

You've got to give them credit. These guys are absolute masters at putting a good face on bad news. Had they been in charge during the Holocaust they would have claimed it was a good thing because it gave Jews something to overcome.

What's hard to believe, of course, is that roughly half the country, if not more, actually believes this bilge, just as they probably believe Bush's unbelievable recent asseration that we have to let more people be killed in order to honor the sacrifice of those who have already been killed in a war that was unnecessary in the first place. Unbelievable!

The whole country seems to have fallen down the rabbit hole and landed smack dab in the middle of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party!

Crossing the finish line of his presidency with record low popularity may turn out to be a sign of substantive achievement and lasting reform.

Now that is a real spin on a failed Presidency.
Fred Barnes should remember what happened to Nixon.

This is somewhat off the subject, but I thought it was informative. In an interview with Billy Graham, he said he was a Democrat. That has to blow the minds of millions of right-wing nuts. He said that his message was never mixed with political statements because he felt his calling was beyond politics. Graham went on to say that the moment he would have said anything political in his messages, he would have divided the audience immediately. His goal was always the message of God and love. Too bad some of those fundamentalist can't wrap their minds around that concept.
