Comments: Baghdad Bush (Special Edition)

I liked the statement early in the Wall St Journal article that accuses Kennedy and Hagel of rallying the American public against Dear Leader's Wise and Far-Seeing Plans. Gee, ya think maybe if Bush could demonstrate progress in Iraq, maybe that might quiet the criticisms?
I loved the part about "Troop morale, [Abazaid] said, has never been better." Uh, yeah, sure, right on. I'm sure our troops haven't noticed that fewer and fewer Americans have signed up to join their buddies on the firing line. I'm sure they're also thrilled to see that if they die or get wounded, they'll be brought back into the States in the dead of the night, as though their country feels embarrassed about their presence.
