I'm with Billmon on all this right now. The MSM and WH spinning on this right now are so pathetic that they are laughable. (Even Novak included a CIA disclaimer that Plame played a role in Wilson's Niger trip.) Rove a whistleblower? Only in an evil alternate reality world. Maybe we should give them more shovels to speed up the graves they are digging for themselves. (Assuming that Fitzgerald is doing the job I sense that he is.) They are all going to be reviled by the country in a few months, and that's when we begin stomping on them.

It doesn't look good for Karl Rove
By John Dean
Worth a read

In taking on the papers with a point by point exposition of errors, I started thinking: some of these are errors are so well exposed and documented, whatever happened to newspapers publishing corrections and retractions? Even buried-in-the-back corrections used to be far more commonplace --at least for the "great metropolitan newspapers". What passes for a correction these days? (I live in the boondocks.) Don't the papers bother to do this anymore?

Interesting read. I've linked it here for those who hate cut and paste.
Posted by phidipides at July 15, 2005 04:52 PMGet over your loss Steve. Time to move on. Once again you DEMS took a big dump and the toilet backflushed. Joe Wilson is a serial liar pure and simple. This is the same nut that says he not party biased then campaings with with kerry 's last six states. Birds of the same feather flock together. Two lyin sack's of shit.
Posted by Chevy at July 16, 2005 05:47 AMNotice how the trolls keep saying that "no one cares" and "it's time to move on." It must be hard to consider that your gods are made of corrupted flesh.
Posted by at July 16, 2005 06:27 AMWow, Chevy's screeching shows that the GOP is really collapsing. I've been surprised at how incoherent their posts are since Rove can no longer give them their daily talking points.
Ga6thdem,
Just think, somewhere within the yellow elephant movement there is one or more Rove wannabes thinking that they may soon get their chance.

Nope. We've known for years that the MSM had become a pathetic patsy for the GOP. But this is the first time that they have fully declared that they live in Rove's alternate universe; something that we only feared before and hoped that they hadn't fully lost their minds. Heh, we were wrong.
The WaPo editorial board is trying to convince themselves they were correct in their desire for war. They were the worst editorial board in their drive to push the country to war and they never have had the courage, honesty or decency to admit their mistake. They can burn in hell for their part in this fiasco.
