Comments: The Niger Documents: A Primer

Thanks for a well written and sorely needed article.

I didn't get to read all of an article I saw over the weekend but it might interest you. I think it was SusanHu at DKos who mentioned there was a new Pat Lang article somewhere on the web discussing the fact that he was hired by a network to investigate the Niger forged documents story, that most of the story is known and according to him it is known by 6 or 7 news agencies and they are all sitting on it.

I asked Col. Lang if he would move this info into the public domain. His answer was that the info was there, need to ask the Italian parliamentary committee for oversight of intelligence...

Thanks for laying things out so well Mary. So the CIA sent Amb. Wilson to Niger just to confirm one way or another the validity of a most specious claim. Yes, it was redundent, but sometimes we all do things like that, check to make sure you looked the door before you leave, pat your pants pocket to make sure the keys are there, even though you know they are.

And for that, those bastards bust up a CIA NBC operative and operation? NBC, that's what we really should call it, Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, btw. Yeah, bush, he makes us much safer.
