There was a little fight at Kos yesterday concerning the arrest of BlackBoxVoting.org site contributor Jim March . . Does someone want to post a synopsis of why Jim March is Bad and BBV is no longer a welcome force for open elections? I was amazed at the venom and force a few posters were using to dominate the discussion and discredit March, Harris, and BBV.

Michelle Malkin continues to document AirAmericagate.

The Philly Inquirer has some bad news on Arbitron ratings for Air America. Is Al Franken done with it?

e Philly Inquirer has some bad news on Arbitron ratings for Air America.

Who gives a big flying fuck? Back on your knees to blow the chimporer a bit longer.

Honestly.

Does anyone really give a rats ass if Air America goes in the tank?

Does anyone here actually listen to Air America programming?

Maybe Malkin should try documenting her claim that the New York Times 'spilled tons of adulatory ink" about AAR. Maybe you can dredge up a story muckdog?

$400,000 earmarked for childrens programs dissappears and righties like muckdog and Malkin would like to see the Air America on-air talent strung up from the nearest light pole.

$8,000,000,000 in Iraqi funds disappears without a trace under the management of Paul Bremer and what does he get? The Presidential medal of freedom.

Chimpco to military: Go Cheney Yourself. What else is new?

"Brig. Gen. Kevin M. Sandkuhler, a senior Marine lawyer, said in a Feb. 27, 2003, memorandum that all the military lawyers believed the harsh interrogation regime could have adverse consequences for American service members. General Sandkuhler said that the Justice Department "does not represent the services; thus, understandably, concern for service members is not reflected in their opinion.""

Maybe a lot of Philadelphians are listening to Air America on-line like I do. I live in the Jersey surburbs and the WLIB-AM signal from NYC is not strong here.

I see muckdog is a shill for Ms. Malkin these days.

Chevy should be along anytime now to describe for us all his adolescent fantasies about her.

General Sandkuhler said that the Justice Department "does not represent the services; thus, understandably, concern for service members is not reflected in their opinion."

General Sandkuhler is a traitor. Soon the benevolent forces of the revolution will arrest him.

are we that good

how do i get this sweet tea off my monitor?

Are we really just biding our time or are we that good that we keep stopping these attacks before they happen?

Mostly biding our time. The good news is that, even with our relatively lackluster efforts to win the ideological battles in the war on terror (or whatever it is we call it now), people who really want to dedicate their lives toward blowing us up are still relatively few and far between.

Who says the GOP doesn't care about the environment?

But consider Bush's latest master stroke: the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate. The pact includes the U.S., Japan, Australia, China, India and South Korea; these six countries account for most of the world's carbon emissions. The treaty is, in essence, a technology transfer agreement. The U.S., Japan and Australia will share advanced pollution control technology, and the pact's members will contribute to a fund that will help implement the technologies. The details are still sketchy and more countries may be admitted to the group later on. The pact's stated goal is to cut production of "greenhouse gases" in half by the end of the century.

What distinguishes this plan from the Kyoto protocol is that it will actually lead to a major reduction in carbon emissions! This substitution of practical impact for well-crafted verbiage stunned and infuriated European observers.

Thanks for the heads-up, mucky, did you also read the article linked, or just powerhind's slobbering, which you so liberally quoted?

Here's the thing in a nutshell:

CLIMATE PLAN
- Climate change agreement signed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging use of technology.
- Agreement covers Australia, US, China, Japan, India and South Korea.
- Members will contribute to a fund to finance clean technology projects.
- Unlike Kyoto, it does not include specific targets for reducing harmful gases.

Could it be any more vague? And that last bit is the most hilarious part. The article actually uses this as a selling point! Get it? - they're not going to be bound by such fluffy nonsense as goals! Damn that Kyoto and their stoopid benchmarks!

But that doesn't stop our ambiguously gay hero, John, from crowing "The pact's stated goal is to cut production of 'greenhouse gases' in half by the end of the century." (I wonder, is that half of today's level of "greenhouse gasses" or the level 100 years from now?) In any case, that's great guys, you have 100 years to prove whether your rhetoric will actually translate into something remotely beneficial to the climate.

Even powerline admits the details (there are none) are sketchy, but hey! It's better than Kyoto, because we've removed those pesky deadlines.

But you have to wonder what these guys are are really up to, because they're agreeing on something and getting together in Adelaide (a lovely city, btw), and it appears the PR machine is already in place...

More bad news for dubya'! First 52%say they'd impeach if he lied ....now 51% believe "he deliberately misled the American public about whether Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, or not?" (Angus Reid.....July 29th.)
