Comments: Pelosi Bitch Slaps CNN Airhead, Blows Off Hastert On Whitewash Commission

That was awesome. One down, a hundred to go.

I've been highly critical of Pelosi. Its nice to see her starting to act like the leader of the party of opposition. She and the other democrats have been buying into the republican BS for several years about not "exploiting" a situation or using something for "political advantage." That is Karl ROve and Sean Hannity talking. Of course the democrats should exploit everything they can. The republicans have always done so and that is why they have control of all three branches of government.

A note to Pelosi and all democratic leaders: If we wanted one, big party where there were was no dissension, we would all be republicans.

Bitch slaps? Airhead? Don't tell me. You were hoping for a little hair-pulling. It appears someone needs a time out for gender sensitivity training.

Sexism is AWESOME, so long as you HATE Bush.

This is the first news I've had access to today. I too must decry Soto's use of such a sexist metaphor. I'm especially pissed that I read the whole article only to find that no actual slapping occurred.

Go Nancy! See Crooks and liars for the WMP tapes all 13 minutes. I saw it life. Kyra is a pretty face who gives blow job to bush instead of defoliate him. (There is a bumpers sticker that reads: We should defoliate Bush!) I had given up on all CNN and MSNBC (I do not have FAUX news anymore because I delete them) before Katrina because they were not newsmen but a bunch of talking heads who never tells the truth.
We have to remember that when the shrub was high in polls

Nancy Pelosi interview on Cnn by Kyra Phillips was great. (Around 2:40 PM ET) I applaud very hard. Its looks like most of the talking heads from CNN are back trying to excuse everything Bush does.
But I still think that Jon Stewart remark about Katrina been Bush’s Monica was priceless. At least no people died in Monica’s vagina as with Bush, people has died in Katrina Hole.

I have seen the Pelosi remarks to Phillips. I read them a couple times and honestly they must have been more effective on tape than on paper. I know what she meant, but Phillips appears to dominate everything in the text despite being "slapped".

I agree with those who see the Press as carrying the White House line too willingly and without question, but this story is a lot like the one where we watch Scott McClellan get punched by the WH Steno pool. Yes, we celebrate exhibition of spine. Is it doing any good? Jury is out. The falling poll numbers are not a result of the Press covering the stories honestly and well; the numbers are falling because BushCo is so grossly inept it would take an atom bomb to hide the evidence. I think support is falling because non-religious conservatives are seeing a massive outflow of dollars to things they don't want to pay for. That kind of conservative cares nothing about people, just superior management. The Liberal attitude of this country represent around 50%; corporate conservative about 30%; the truly wacko of both liberal or conservative ilk around 15%; the "i don't care" crowd are the rest. That is my feeling (unscientific--personal observation of 53 years on the planet).

How would you break it out? Over the last 50 years, how would you describe the divisions?

The real truth will come out on how the Governer and City mayors dropped the ball on the pre storm evacuation. Look at all the busses that were parked in New Orleans. The problem was no body was in charge. Let Houston be an example. The Federal government did not set up the dome and surrounding buildings for the all the people that left New Orleans. It was city and county government with the help of State government. You have to have leaders in your local government.
