Comments: Bush Ghettoes

why is Bush flying to a secure military base in Colorado to monitor Hurricane Rita in Texas? Something seems fishy here. I mean, I can see him leaving D.C. so he wouldn't have to see the Peace March, but since he's built himself up to be this Big Tex character....strange.

It's the WESTERN COMMAND! T2. C'mon. War Leader will monitor the events from the WESTERN COMMAND!

T2, have you read this?

Posted by iamcoyote at September 23, 2005 10:28 AM

iamcoyote, you beat me to it. Bush doesn't want to be a "distraction" either in Texas or DC.

Posted by ann at September 23, 2005 10:49 AM

Can he carry this on for another 3 years? Then he can cancel elections for the "good" of the country and continue his diabolical rule! What do you say wingnuts? Will you finally come from the dark side if he carries this out?

Posted by bushblowsturdblossom at September 23, 2005 11:06 AM

Lord Cheney has told Bush he has fucked up, replaced him, is carrying out the True Agenda, and now George is snorting and sucking Nyquil.

What Americans would not give to know what is really going on in that bastard's Cheney's head. Even the Christian Right would be prayin' it ain't so. Did you notice Cheney twiddling his fingers and muttering to himself during Bush's speech the other day? Hoping that Georgie wouldn't spill what little he knows. We are in serious, serious trouble now folks.

The Northern Command center, in Co. Springs, was just opened at the beginning of the month. It's very spacious, shiney and new! bu$h figures it will be a chnge from the stink he's had to deal with in NOLA! It doesn't make a difference where he is, he brings the stench with him!!

Dear Libs Suck: at the risk of assuming you are capable of a lucid response, what the f*uck is that stupid comment supposed to mean? And who, exactly, is "us"?

It seems completely clear to me why Bush wants to set up trailer parks and send all the poor people back to New Orleans. He is worried that black people will spread into all those pretty red states with all them white neighborhoods. It is the same reason we have fenced in refugees in Utah. The white people are worried that these minorities will want to stay, just as much as Barbara Bush is worried.

Posted by captcoyote at September 23, 2005 12:39 PM

there are several hundred thousand really pissed white folks sitting on I-10 and I-45 down here in Texas. I am hearing from dozens of people now, describing absolute chaos, guns being drawn, and the storm hasn't even hit yet. Whomever came up with this Mass Evac will not be a popular person. Who was that, anyway?

Posted by T2 at September 23, 2005 01:13 PM

Northern Command.

Posted by T2 at September 23, 2005 01:13 PM

On ghettos - easier to control.

Is Bu$hCo incompetent or are they working on a different agenda?

It seems someone trained Libs Suck not say "negroes".

And I thought all his type were lower than dogs.

None taken.

As John Edwards said the other day:

"If the Great Depression brought forth Hoovervilles, these trailer towns may someday be known as Bushvilles."

Posted by ann at September 23, 2005 02:21 PM

He is worried that black people will spread into all those pretty red states with all them white neighborhoods. It is the same reason we have fenced in refugees in Utah. The white people are worried that these minorities will want to stay, just as much as Barbara Bush is worried.

And I know people who looked at those unfortunates that Katrina ravaged and thought not of suffering human beings but NIMBY.

And some red states will stay red because of this.

Posted by rlp at September 23, 2005 02:49 PM

I think the motivation behind the trailer ghettos is more insidious than just keeping black folk out of red states. The white folk in NO have decided they don’t want to share their nice Uptown, Garden District and French Quarter spreads with black folk in shacks. Property values and security, don’t ya know. So, the Administration appropriates large areas of god-awful land in the middle of nowhere, and plans to move all of the “unfortunate people” to seedy trailers where “it will work out very well for them”.

Just watch how quickly the “gated communities” start popping up during the re-construction of the GOP New Orleans. In the meantime, back to the devastating hurricane of the month…

Posted by tempus at September 23, 2005 03:19 PM

Just incase they find oil on the land, it will be eaiser to move them onto a "better" spot.

War for oil, trailers for the poor. I thought these conservatives believed in the power of free market capitalism?

Posted by Jim Hurt at September 23, 2005 03:39 PM

The Ghettos make money for Allbaugh's friends. Otherwise, it's a lousy idea to keep the brothers down. Bush never lets up. We are really suffering the consequences of this guy. Who voted for this piece of shit. Pay up.

Posted by at September 23, 2005 04:21 PM

Separate, but equal, trailer parks make for easier ethnic cleansing by this administration.

Welcome to Bushville...the name of town from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", George Bush will be substituting for Lionel Barrymore as the heartless, greedy, unscrupulous banker/businessman Mr. Potter.

Or how bout Cheneyville....Cheney's a natural for Lionel Barrymore character.

Posted by at September 23, 2005 06:22 PM

Well, I guess we can declare the former New Orleans residents an indian tribe, give them a reservation and let them open a casino...in Utah!

Posted by muckhog at September 23, 2005 06:27 PM

Why? Because, once again, this Administration is demonstrating its abysmal incompetence.

We cannot throw the serial bungler out of the White House next year, but we can certainly throw the Congressional bums out.

In 2006, we have a chance to run out of town some of the most obnoxious and vile Republicans. High on my list are Tom DeLay (though I'd rather see him go to jail)and Rick Santorum.

As much as I am annoyed with the Democrats for their spinelessness, we need to support them.

The country cannot afford another stretch with a corrupt, thieving, Congress, who happily spends our hard-earned tax money on bridges to nowhere, subsidies to the gas and oil industry, hidden subsidies to the pharmaceutical industry in the form of an immensely costly Medicare prescription bill, subsidies to the agro business, a war of choice with no end in sight, and tax cuts for the very rich.

U.S. CONCENTRATION CAMPS

FEMA AND THE REX 84 PROGRAM

BREAKING HURRICANE KATRINA CONSPIRACY STORY!
September 5, 2005:
"I just got back from a FEMA Detainment Camp" -
Separate article linked from headline.

Person named Terry Kings wrote an article on his discoveries of camps located in southern California. His findings are as follows:

Over the last couple months several of us have investigated three soon-to-be prison camps in the Southern California area. We had heard about these sites and wanted to see them for ourselves.

The first one we observed was in Palmdale, California. It is not operating as a prison at the moment but is masquerading as part of a water facility. Now why would there be a facility of this nature out in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no prisoners? The fences that run for miles around this large facility all point inward, and there are large mounds of dirt and dry moat surrounding the central area so the inside area is not visible from the road. There are 3 large loading docks facing the entrance that can be observed from the road.

What are these massive docks going to be loading? The camps all have railroad facilities as well as roads leading to and from the detention facilities. Many also have an airport nearby. The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people.

PLEASE GIVE TO THE VICTIMS OF KATRINA, THANK YOU, (Not to Red Cross=FEMA - Red Cross cannot account for the

billion dollars given to Katrina victims who are receiving no help in NOLA and Mississippi requested 5,000 body bags of the private
citizens who managed to escape FEMA's obstruction of aid including incinerating tons of food donated by the UK, Spain, Israel and Italy. ACORN, Salvation Army, NAACP seem to be good choices for donations to really get to those in need. Daily Kos and Democratic Underground.com have threads on the corruptions of Red Cross/FEMA - Thread linked to MSM article to DeKalb which ordered the Red Cross out of their county for obstructing the effort to aid the victims of Katrina. Many great volunteers but he upper eshelons are appointed by Republican President and are heavy Republican finace donaters.)

"They are not refugees. They are citizens of the United States. They are citizens of Louisiana and Mississippi, tax-paying citizens," "They are not refugees wandering somewhere looking for charity. They are victims of neglect and a situation they should have never been put in in the first place."

Coiled razor wire separates people, beach areas

By Meera Pal and Karen Nelson, The Sun Herald, Biloxi, Miss. Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News

Sep. 9--GULFPORT - Double rows of coiled razor wire went up along the railroad tracks in Long Beach and Gulfport to keep people out of the most severely damaged areas of the cities.

And it's coming for Pass Christian and parts of Biloxi, according the Col. Joe Spraggins, director of emergency operations in Harrison County.

Spraggins said the wire, also known as concertina, is needed because it is impossible to patrol the 60 miles from one end Harrison County to the other and will help control gaps where people are slipping through to go into the beach areas. It goes up fast, should only be in place a few weeks and will go down fast as well.

When Lynn Bauer drove along Railroad Avenue in Long Beach on Friday morning, she was shocked to see a fence crew based out of Lumberton laying the wire.

"My first thought was that it's meant to keep us out," Bauer said.

Bauer and her husband, Al, have been driving to their Mills Avenue home, south of the railroad tracks since Katrina hit, to salvage what they can. The water came up three feet in their home.

When Lynn Bauer saw the razor wire, she said she was hurt. It reminded her of a concentration camp.

The crew from Albritton Fence Dispensing Co. began laying the wire at 9 a.m. at the Long Beach-Gulfport border and headed west. They were told to lay it from Biloxi to the Bay area, roughly 30 miles, said Galen Clayton, a Tennessee National guardsman helping the crew.

"Anyone who tries to climb over this fence must really want something on the other side real bad," said Josh Necaise, who works with the fencing company. He and Caleb Lambert showed the cuts they had received just from laying it.

Soldiers requesting asylum in Canada must go through Refugee Court and testify why they do not want to go back to Iraq (possibly Canada is collecting evidence for future War Crimes at HAgue) several have testifid that the military is being ordered to place razer sharp barbed wire around remote villages, making quick concentration camps.

has downloads and the phot of one iraqi behind wire with child on his lap and heavy leather hood over head and the child is looking hot, dry and feverish so can imagine what the little boys father is undergoing in the heat and lack of water with leather hood over head. Criminal, inhumane, torture and murder of innicents in Iraq and NOLA.
