Comments: Q&A with Stevens Creek Elementary School (CA) parents - Part I

Wow... : sniffles:... Americans working together for the common good of the nation and our future. Almost makes me think I'm living during the beginning of the New Deal era.

Makes this Sapper proud to be an American, if only for just a little while.

Please introduce at the beginning of the post, a quick summary or a line or two as to what the lawsuit was all about. Saves time for new readers.

Fine article. The happy ending leaves me a little queasy, though. Right: the everyday American parents who are affected by the actions are indeed the ones to organize and get the truth out. The queasy part: these were ordinary common citizens of Cupertino.

The pseudo-Christian ideologues were plain stupid to make their effort there, and when they chance not to make that dumb mistake, the "best way to do it" won't work. (Dover.) But Cupertino assures us that the coastal enclaves, very large enclaves, can defend themselves.

Porlock Junior's queasiness is exactly on target. If you follow what the ADF has been doing with regard to schools, as I have been for almost a year now, the usual target is a parental complaint about a school district in a solidly red state. Cupertino was something of an aberration (teacher complaint, blue state) -- what government funders would call a high-risk / high-payoff project. This time it looks like it only paid off short-term, but the ADF are doing a canny job of risk balancing.
