Posted by Daryl at October 7, 2005 05:39 AMIsn't it funny how, when this news came out in 2003, the religiously insane theofascists like Ben Ditto never said a word? And now, all of a sudden, it is denied, or the messenger (or their entire sect) gets slimed by those same religiously insane theofascists?
Isn't it funny how religiously insane theofascists like Ben Ditto use their faith to harm others? Why do the current crop of Repugnicants always seem to have mindless dogma, instead of true spirituality, at the core of their religious beliefs? And why aren't more christians calling them on it?
Posted by (: Tom :) at October 7, 2005 06:10 AMhey bendito, a-hole; it's no more of an oxymoron than Christian Capitalist, in fact I would say much less so...
Posted by John B. at October 7, 2005 06:41 AMNobody remembers this story from 2003? Try googling "God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them" and read the Washington Post account of this story from back then, which has significantly different details. Apparently the Palestinians forgot to mention God telling Bush to get them a state back then. Amazing how their memory on that point has improved since.
Posted by Brainster at October 7, 2005 07:10 AMAmazing how their memory on that point has improved since.
Let's see if the media memories improve about Bu$h deserting from his duty with the Texas Air National Guard, his complicity in the theft through public domain of residential properties to build a new stadium for the Texas Rangers, Margie Schoedinger, Kenny Boy and Enron, the Harken stock sale, Arbusto, ...
Posted by pessimist at October 7, 2005 07:39 AMIn WAPO today, E.J. Dionne has a very interesting take on the Bush Administration's use of religion. When Roberts was nominated for the SCOTUS, we were told that his religious beliefs had no place in the confirmation process. However, since Miers' nomination, the Administration is making the case to their constituents that her religious beliefs are part of why she should be confirmed.
just because you're self righteous doesn't mean you're not a hypocrite
Posted by ann at October 7, 2005 08:05 AMwhy isn't God helping Bush keep his ratings up? Or was it God's plan all along to advise Bush into doing things that would cause the public to turn on him? Is God sneaky?
Posted by T2 at October 7, 2005 08:14 AM...and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq…"...
That's it, Cindy Sheehan's, answer, the one Commander Codpiece was too afraid of her to say to her - the Noble Cause Casey Sheehan died for was that GW Bush was on a Mission From God To Invade Iraq.
Pity GW couldn't get Steve Cropper or Duck Dunn in his band, could that be a reason the insurgents are so angry?
Posted by darms at October 7, 2005 09:21 AMchristian socialist ought to be redundant.
