Comments: Miller Leaves Final Grand Jury Appearance All Smiles Today

Good on Conyers, he's been great lately.

Posted by iamcoyote at October 12, 2005 12:59 PM

what happened to the much ballyhoo'd Rove 4th appearance??

Posted by T2 at October 12, 2005 01:03 PM

Steve,

Oh fer christ’sake.

If you are quote someone named Alberto Gonzalez who happens to be the democrat county commissioner from Los Somethingorother, New Mexico, the words would make sense and bolster your point.

If, however, you are referring to the Attorney General of the United States, do you actually believe that he would say this, at this time, considering all other circumstances if he thought for one second that anyone in the administration was in jeopardy?

Perhaps this question caught him “totally by surprise”. Maybe exposure to Bush has left him unable to think on his feet. Or, and try to follow me here, he was so sure that the administration was coming out of this investigation smelling like a rose that he couldn’t resist sticking it to the media one more time.

As far as the “final public report” that your group of geniuses on the hill asked for – when was the last time they made a brilliant move?

There is an industrial-sized bag of shit rolling down the hill. I suggest you look up.

iamcoyote, you beat me to it. I'm a little disappointed in how little notice Conyers has gotten in the progressive blogosphere. The guy has been in the forefront on just about every issue we care about. He is fearless, and we need more like him. Bravo, Conyers !

Here's the link to his blog--

Welp, it looks like good ol' Judy spent her time well in prison...sufficiently long to get herself a book deal and point the finger at someone else. Ain't 'MurriKKKa great? Yep. Ms. Kneepad's book will probably be as "riveting" as Senator Man-On-Dog-Action's book was. /sarcasm

All criminals think they are going to get away with it or they wouldn't commit the crime in the first place.

I see Jeralyn over at Talk Left is going through linguistic contortions trying to explain the CNN article also.

Posted by j.west at October 12, 2005 01:25 PM

T2, fitzgerald wanted to talk to miller first. rove is later this week, according to today's la times

"The prosecutor has cast a wide net, interviewing numerous journalists and administration figures. They include White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, who is expected to make a fourth appearance before the grand jury this week."
Posted by benjoya at October 12, 2005 01:25 PM

west I know you're too stupid to notice so I'll point it out..people besides myself notice your bullshit and call you out on it...how does it feel to be the TL right wing bufoon/aswipe?

Posted by headxray at October 12, 2005 01:32 PM

I read that the GJ only meets Wed. & Fri. so Rove is up Friday.

Judy wears Burberry!

Roughin' it I see.

Pop Quiz, Liberals.

You are just leaving the “chaps only” version of “OKLAHOMA” on your way to that trendy little bistro a few blocks away. As it was a rather formal affair, you are bedecked in your finest eco-friendly furs and jewelry.

A rather seedy looking fellow overhears your destination and helpfully points out a “shortcut” down a dark alley. You recognize the prison gang tattoos on his knuckles from that one unfortunate incident of mistaken identity at the truck stop, and you know immediately that:

A. This poor unfortunate is trying to make up for his past mistakes by being helpful to strangers.

B. Maybe, just maybe, your about to get your ass beat.

Is there something in the way liberals think that prevents them from taking in the full picture, applying logic, and then arriving at a sensible conclusion?

Posted by j.west at October 12, 2005 01:55 PM

You and logic don't go together

Posted by Goose1 at October 12, 2005 02:01 PM

Goose1:

Now, now. We have to remember that West was kicked in the head by a donkey as a child. While it is ironic, it does explain much of what he perceives as The Word. I propose we start a fund-raising web site to help, or possibly reprogram West and other unfortunate trolls. They have a very bleak future ahead of them. Give generously.

Yeah, you're right.

Her lawyers wearing an awfully ugly tie too.

Posted by snark at October 12, 2005 02:21 PM

j.west - I don't understand what you get out of hanging around here. You seem fairly . . . bright (a 60 watt bulb, mind you, not a 75), but I fail to understand what you think you are going to accomplish here. Your logic is frayed. Your insight is fractured. Your opinions are frivolous. And furthermore, your breath is frightful.

Wouldn't you accomplish more, and feel better about it if you went back to www.faux-texans-for-illogical-governance.org/myopicmessage, have more Kool-aid, talk about your tax-cuts, berate brown people and their inability to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps, and just bob and nod in unison with the other Wingers? Doesn't that sound better than all your caca-talka that you hurl like a poo flinging chimp?

I thought so, now go blog yourself black & blue.

Pop Quiz – Part Deux

Each day, for the past 12 years, you’ve taken the subway and 2 buses to play speed chess with the same opponent. You have been playing for $100 per game and your record stands at 0 – 4380.

A person you know has a friend that heard from an authoritative source that your opponent coughed this morning. You immediately realize that in his weakened condition you finally stand a chance of winning. Do you:

A. Ask to raise the stakes?

B. Prepare to have your ass whipped for 4381st time.

Just who do you liberals think you’re up against here? How’s it been going for you?

Posted by j.west at October 12, 2005 02:38 PM

Sadly, steve, this one's schizophrenic and we let it hang around because it's got no place to go. Tragic, I know, when reality departs the afflicted mind. But it's harmless, really, if annoying. Sometimes we laugh at its antics, which stirs it up into the most hilarious delusions. This time, I think it believes it's a teacher of some kind. Let's watch the fun. Just don't get too close to the cage, though, as you said, it likes to fling its poo.

Posted by iamcoyote at October 12, 2005 02:45 PM

coyote,

Can you imagine how insufferable it’s going to be if Joe and Valerie get indicted?

Posted by j.west at October 12, 2005 02:52 PM

See what I mean, steve? It's just sad.

Posted by iamcoyote at October 12, 2005 02:53 PM

j. west clenches his sphincter ever tighter in breathless anticipation of joe wilson's coming indictment. lol. LOL.

Posted by tjc at October 12, 2005 02:53 PM

Can you imagine how insufferable it’s going to be if Joe and Valerie get indicted?

That'll happen about the same time that O.J. finds Nicole's "real" killer.

Posted by ann at October 12, 2005 02:53 PM

When she sells the rights to her upcoming book for a TV movie, Linda Hunt can play her.

Posted by Dartanyon at October 12, 2005 02:57 PM

iamcoyote - gotcha.

I do like to watch the spinning troll - you're right.

j.west - carry on please - we're all watching.

(I have seen monkeys in diapers before, has anybody ever thought to shooting it with a dart and getting a huggie on it to prevent the poo being accessible for flinging?)

Posted by steve in portland at October 12, 2005 03:22 PM

steve, thanks for the laugh! j.west, you want the huggies with the cute pictures, or the pull-ups for the big kids?

Aw, let's just shoot darts at it!

Posted by iamcoyote at October 12, 2005 03:28 PM

J west

Pop quiz,

You step out the the new beamer you Dad just bought you still in a coke induced haze and you see a large black man standing outside the club you want to go to. Do you

A) Call the Cops and have the man arrested

B) Run for your life, becuase you forgot your gun in the car.

C) Stand there and piss your pants.

See anyone can do this.

Posted by goose1 at October 12, 2005 03:37 PM

Steve in Portland, J. West hangs around here because we idiots keep giving him attention. In every comments section, we allow him to steal the topic with mindless dribble by responding to his innane comments. We have no one to blame but ourselves for his presence.

Posted by Judith at October 12, 2005 04:23 PM

Don't believe me? Of the 28 posts, 18 are donated to responding to scum. No, make that 19 or better than half.

Posted by Judith at October 12, 2005 04:29 PM

Judith nails it. ujest has been around enough for us all to know its not interested in any fact based debate or commenting. Heck even though I generally disagree with muckpuppy and his ob$e$$ion with his own money, he at least post some legitimate comments with facts and doesn't always toe the ridiculous powerliars talking point. No it is clear that ujest's only interest is the attention it gets.

Posted by emal at October 12, 2005 04:51 PM

In the past, I've been known to debate muckdog and occasionally others. After a couple of attempts at serious discussion, I've decided not to engage u.jest anymore for the same reasons Judith and emal cite. This person wants attention and is not looking for an exchange of ideas. That should be evident to all by now.

Posted by rlp at October 12, 2005 05:18 PM

The whining is getting pretty loud.

Don't you think it would be better to make a point?

Posted by j.west at October 12, 2005 05:44 PM

amen judith!! Don't feed the trolls.

Posted by T2 at October 12, 2005 05:49 PM

So anyway, Judith was in for an hour today - did she pile on Libby or WHIG or Cheney? what gives?

Posted by Azazel at October 12, 2005 07:23 PM

The Huffington Post

News Orgs Working On Stories Tying Cheney Into Plamegate? Developing?

October 11, 2005

The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg are working on stories that point to Vice President Dick Cheney as the target of special prosecutor
Patrick Fitzgerald's investigation into the leaking of CIA operative Valerie Plame's name.

Posted by at October 12, 2005 08:00 PM

How about showing who the post is by first so we can just skip over the trolls?

Posted by at October 12, 2005 09:45 PM

I wonder how many of the WHIGs love the smell of burning napalm in the morning?

Posted by Jack Schlink at October 13, 2005 01:36 AM

I love the strategy Fitzgerald is using. Go for the Vice president first (in this case the brain behind the crimes) and then expose the complicity of the twit at the top.
Didn't Judith Miller claim to have received some funny white powder around the time of the anthrax terrorist attacks? Does anyone remember what became of that story?

Posted by TLV at October 13, 2005 05:05 AM

"On October 12, 2001, Judith Miller received an anthrax hoax letter mailed to her New York Times office. The 2001 anthrax attacks had occurred in the weeks prior and several hoax letters were sent to important individuals in the media. Miller had written a book on bio-terrorism, "Germs: Biological Weapons and America's Secret War."

More of Rove's politcal dirty tricks?

Bets are that, Judy opted for jail for her own protection. When you tangle as close as she has with the Bush/BinLaden crime group, your bound to end up very very dead.

He who laughs last, ....

Must be tough for Georgie, though: his old man despises him; his mother treats him as the mental deficient he is; his siblings ignore him only until they want a favor; his Veep knows he's ignorant; his wife knows he's a useless coke-head, making HER a "desperate housewife"; and his "Turdblossom" knows he's gay.
