Comments: Letter From California

When is that Artichoke Festival in Castroville?
I remember it fondly as young man. Used to go over the hill on Highway 17, down the coast past Watsonville, when there were no condos! The clean pristine beaches that you had access to.
What a long strange trip....

Fast forward, 35 years, in AZ... Maybe when the people start paying $10.00 for a head of lettuce, they'll realize their dependence on imported border labor. Someday people might even be proud to say that Mexican Immigrants are among the hardest workers there are.

I know it's true. My wife came from a Mexican-American migrant farm family. She is truly the hardest worker I've ever met!
