She wasn't candid enough to mention that Ben Barnes' subpoena to appear before the judiciary committee might have revisited how he was paid hush money...to shutup about helping w get into the Texas national guard during Viet Nam...while Barnes was a lobbyist for the Texas lottery and Miers was the head of it.
But yes, that might have been a "distraction."

LizDexic, you are right. What I meant was that she was candid about her nomination being essentially damaging to Bush - although not in so many words. She didn't use a fake excuse like Bernard Kerik did.
