Comments: Congrats Eriposte - Left Coaster Mentioned On Larry King Live By Joe Wilson

Eriposte has provided one of the definitive studies on the Niger/Iraq yellowcake fraud and has done a terrific job. Along with Josh Marshall, let's not forget Laura Rozen of War and Piece who also made a contribution. There's still a long ways to go and of course we're stuck with a failed presidency for another three long years.

The aluminum tubes angle and the Niger/Iraq uranium claim were the two crown jewels of Bush's phony case for war. Both claims were bogus. Before the war, prominent conservatives were criticizing the CIA and the State Dept. for underestimating Iraq's WMD programs. But of course, given the nature of these people, they did an about face when no WMDs were found and blamed the CIA for overestimating the threat. And they outed Valerie Plame for reasons that under no circumstances can be considered honorable even if it had not been their intent to do so. Slowly, slowly, America is catching on.

The (INAUDIBLE) word in Ambassador Wilson's comments is "reprised".

Ack! The guy thought Kerry should be president over Dean or Kucinich! What's wrong with you!!!

Posted by Bo Peep at November 2, 2005 12:51 AM

congratulations..well deserved...let's hope the story stays alive and that there is some form of retribution for over 2 thousand dead and 15 thousand wounded of our finest for a lie that dick cheney propagated....it's as plain as the nose on your face...once again thank you ..congratulations and keep up the good work

Boycott Dominos Pizza and call their corporate headquarters at 800-468-4726 and make the demand that the CEO David Brandon get George W Bush to withdraw the nomination of Samuel Alito and nominate a moderate to the Supreme Court or that you will boycott Dominos pizza. Dominos pizza CEO David Brandon supports the antiabortion movement. Pass the word.

Call your Senator and tell him or her that unless he or she votes against Samuel Alito, you will boycott Dominos pizza and they will lose alot of money and that you're boycotting them because they give money to the Republican Party and the CEO David Brandon supports the antiabortion movement with money.

Tell Republican contributors that you have had enough of the actions of the Republican Party and you will not take it anymore.

no problem boycotting dominoes..their pizza sucks anyway

Posted by dennis at November 2, 2005 05:21 AM

i think the premise is a simple...if joe wilson's column in the nyt was inaccurate why did they try do destroy him and his wife..and commit treason..and if scooter is guilty ..they all are..particularly dick cheney....TREASON..is a bit more serious then lieing about oral sex..consensual at that

Steve and everyone else - thank you for your kind comments. It was also very nice of Mr. Wilson to mention this blog. It is a recognition of the work done by all of us here at TLC.

Congratulations! I did not see the entire show but I did see this site mentioned by Joe Wilson. I thought it was pretty cool.

Posted by captcoyote at November 2, 2005 07:36 AM

While channel surfing last night I saw Wilson on the tube and stopped. Larry King had a meaningful show last night and the LC got the credit it deserved. Congrats and thanks for staying on top of things.

BTW, the discussion on King was fruitful. Feinstein actually showed a spine and even Shelby was as even handed as he could be under the curcumstances.

Great work, Eriposte!!

Kudos, Eriposte. Your work will be a useful starting point for the SSCI when they take up that next stage of investigation.

I said congrats last night but wanted to add: My wife and I were watching CNN, I threw out TLC's name right before Wilson mentioned it and she just looked at me and grinned! I told her that was the website I frequent. She laughed, and said, "Glad it's a political site"!!
