Comments: Treasongate: The Niger Forgeries v. the CIA Intel Reports - Part 4: Wissam Al-Zahawi and Uranium from Niger

Fascinating, eriposte. I'm wondering - how credible is the series of stories in La Repubblica? Are they useful in filling in some of the holes?

Yes, the La Repubblica stories were useful. Not everything they have claimed is correct, but some important details appear to be right.

Over at Arianna, she points out Sept 8, 2002 as a date that Chris Matthews is scrutinizing for the Judy Miller tube story. Over at Talking Points Memo, Josh points at Sept 9, 2002 as a Pollari/Hadley meeeting re: Niger. Did they find the tube story was not resonating on the talkshows and seek a second front with Niger the next day?

Good to know, thanks. I wasn't sure how much stock I should put in the stories, but at least they provide a new angle to pursue. Thanks for your tireless research!
