Comments: Paul Vallely's pants on fire

Isn't his nickname "curveball"? We know how that info turned out.

Posted by goose1 at November 9, 2005 10:10 AM

From the administration to the people: I believe everything I hear. I have someone write it for us and MSM. They read it, I hear it, I believe it.

Posted by bbtb at November 9, 2005 10:31 AM

So you conclude he's lying on the basis of that? Joe Wilson has even greater inconsistencies in his statements.

Posted by Alf Rangen at November 9, 2005 11:05 AM

The tragedy here is the mentality of the fox news audience. Only minds like the trolls that wear their welcome out here would even give this "swift boating" a second thought. Really! Suppose Wilson was stupid enough to share that information with this liar, would that mean that is right for high ranking administration official (Cheney, Rove, Libby and Bush) to blow the cover of a CIA NOC that was working to contain WMD's when we are supposedly spending $1 billion a week to rid Iraq of WMD? Does that make any sense to anyone in their right mind? (except the sick trolls that chime in here)

Fire?

Son, that boy done turned his pants into stellar plasma.

Posted by idiosynchronic at November 9, 2005 11:09 AM

I think the public is finally getting wise to the "change the subject to how bad the other people are" versus "why we are caught with our pants on our ankles". U.S. citizens aren't great critical thinkers, but when the shit piles so high they will begin to smell it.

Posted by smooth at November 9, 2005 11:14 AM

There'll be shit in his pants when Fitzie calls him to testify in front of the Grand Jury, idio.

Posted by iamcoyote at November 9, 2005 11:19 AM

i don't get why someone can't shut this down. there's a very simple way to verify these statements: have these people speak to the fbi.

Posted by linda at November 9, 2005 11:20 AM

Wilson is not the story. The story is how Bush and Cheney lied the country into an unlawful invasion of a sovereign country that murdered thousands of innocent Iraqi women and children. The headline should read “Iraq Invasion….Bush and Cheney Scams U.S. taxpayers for $1 trillion welfare package for Haliburton, Big Oil and Bechtel”

Posted by smooth at November 9, 2005 11:25 AM

It's amazing to me that the more the adiministration tries to smear Wilson, the better he comes out looking. An honest, forthright, sincere, hardworking, loyal patriot who did his job. And to go after his wife...that was their downfall. The latest elections show that the people know who to believe.

Posted by bbtb at November 9, 2005 11:26 AM

I think these guys need to be hauled up before the Grand Jury. Wonder if they would be willing to sit in the cell next to Libby?

Posted by Kthi at November 9, 2005 11:35 AM

Yeah sure, they should be looked into by the FBI, but if you really want to start shutting this shit down, you have to go where it hurts these weasels the most -- the pocketbook.

Letting these serial liars claim whatever the hell pops into their tiny brainstems and letting them get away with has to stop. I'm not a big fan of litigation, but if ignoring them, asking them nicely and pouting don't work, do something that does.

Amb. Wilson is on the right track. Threaten to sue them in court. Get them in deposition, get them under oath. Then, after a couple of really ugly confessions start to see the light of day, they'll think twice about slandering someone.

Of course, without slander, they'll have to come up with some other trick. I mean, they couldn't just come out and match ideas or logic...

Posted by yam at November 9, 2005 11:42 AM

Alf, you don't impress anyone lying on behalf of liars, and it's time you little propaganda robots realized that there are no major inconsistencies in wilson's story, there are simply right-wing lies about wilson's story.

Posted by howard at November 9, 2005 11:42 AM

Senator Bob Graham is keeping the focus where it should be. The focus should be on what bush and cheney knew and what they did.

Posted by smooth at November 9, 2005 12:07 PM

What Bush and Cheney knew and What they did.

Posted by smooth at November 9, 2005 12:12 PM

The problem is these guys appear on these shows all the time. No matter any lie that is proven, the next time is like they start from scratch.

Joey Scabs and Hannity had the Swifties on a million times.

the truth is meaningless, the press bought it, and we're dying for it.

Posted by Zappatero at November 9, 2005 12:32 PM

Yeah, remember last week it was that Kennedy and Kerry were indicted for tax fraud. These evil doers must lie awake at night dreaming this crap up.

Posted by Judith at November 9, 2005 12:46 PM

Wingnut projection is f'n hilarious.

Seriously...drag this motherfucker in front of Fitz and see if he peddles his lies under oath.

Oops...looks like Traitor Vallely's nuts just retreated into his abdomen.

Guess we won't be getting that sworn testimony.

Posted by God Of War at November 9, 2005 12:55 PM

What I don't understand, is after all the testimony and in light of the fact Bob Novak did testify and did know who the two senior administration officials are who told him about Plame.....why were they not indicted, or even revealed by Fitz?

Posted by T2 at November 9, 2005 01:24 PM

Last night on "Hannity and Colmes," Vallely was interviewed. And not once, not twice, not thrice, but FOUR TIMES Gen. Vallely referred to a "Ms. Valerie Flame."

If he can't even remember her NAME, how can we expect he remembers exactly what Joe Wilson told him years ago?

Posted by J. Puckett at November 9, 2005 02:32 PM

Maybe his real job is not just to smear Wilson, but to spread the "Flame" meme, connecting him to Miller, and getting Libby off the hook.

Posted by iamcoyote at November 9, 2005 02:51 PM

How come Gen. Vallely can remember this from 3 years ago but Scooter Libby can't remember what he said 3 years later?

Posted by Goose1 at November 9, 2005 03:36 PM

J. Puckett, thanks for the tip on the Valerie Flame claim by Mr. PantsonFire.

Posted by eriposte at November 9, 2005 06:38 PM

If ALL of these right wing nut jobs are claiming first hand knowledge of Joseph Wilson introducing his wife, numerous times, as "my CIA wife",at Washington cocktail parties, why don't we report this information to prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald, as it may be material information to his investigation. I think these individuals may have something to but will they be willing to do so, under oath? The legal expert, jerk Napolitano on Fox has been hawking this rumor and claims a Fox employee is a direct witness! Let's watch the balls of these cowards schrivel up on cable's flare and unbalanced network.

as an in the know member of the vallely family i can assure that paul vallely is more than just a lier, he is probably one of the most morally corrupt and bankrupt individuals on the planet. thats why i find it so amazing that this guy has made it as far as he has.his career was far less than the steller one that the right wing and fox news would like you to believe. BEWARE . For starters why doesnt someone look into the REAL cause of his son scotts death last year. EVERYONE in the vallely family blames the father
