unless I dreamed it, Harry Reid was just on TV saying that an "amendment" to force the Administration's hand on Iraq was going to pass with bipartisan support. He was making a big deal of how the Dems had come up with the ideas and that many GOPers were signed off on it.. I didn't catch the whole thing......anybody get it?
Posted by T2 at November 14, 2005 12:47 PMIsn't there an amendment to a defense spending authorization bill, the same one that McCain was amending to prohibit torture?

Posted by Bendittohead at November 14, 2005 02:01 PMWith regards to Doug Forrester blaming his New Jersey gubenatorial defeat on Bush:
Although Bush probably was a factor, it was actually it was the Evangelical and Social Conservatives who let you down. With your pro stances on Cell Stem Research and Abortion, the "values voters" decided to stay home last Tuesday.
Proof that the Religous Right may not be totally tied to the GOP after all.
Which brings up an interesting question about Evangelical Conservatives living in New Jersey: Think maybe you're in the wrong state to begin with? Perhaps Kansas or Oklahoma might be a little more to your liking?
Can someone answer why Dean wouldn't debate the RNC chief this weekend? I was sooo looking forward to Mehlman bitch slapping Howie all over the stage. Maybe Dean didn't want anyone to question his moon-batty rants over the past month? Oh and I am sure there is no connection to his loony toons rants and the lack of funds flowing into the DNC. Got to go now, time to mail another check to the RNC. BTW I doubt Rove cries himself to sleep each night knowing that he is still in “danger”. Isn’t the term a bit extreme since we know that the initial crime was/is a farce, but hey you cling to that hope it may be all you get for xmas this year. Oh sorry many of you heathens don’t believe in Christmas, sorry if my holiday reference offends.
Posted by Cyber Sarge at November 14, 2005 02:55 PMSarge, knowing what I know about Kenny-Boy, about the only bitch-slapping he'll be doing is behind closed doors to Jeff Gannon.
Posted by Steve Soto at November 14, 2005 03:01 PMWTF was that sarge? Are you on the cocaine? Because that was the most hilarious word salad of talking points spewed since Bush tried to ad lib at the debates.
Reminds me of when Beavis eats too much sugar and turns into Cornholio! Do you need TP for your bungholio??
Gimme more, you looney tunes gooper! Dance!
Posted by iamcoyote at November 14, 2005 03:22 PMI loved the part when Mehlman was crying the, we went to war, "to be on the offensive"! Duh!!
Steve, So is that how Gannon got his credentials and clearance so fast?
Merry Christmas Sarge...Thanksgiving is first, though!

Dood...you sooooo need a lobotomy.
Posted by SnarkyShark at November 14, 2005 04:41 PMSnarky, looks like he's already got one!
Posted by iamcoyote at November 14, 2005 05:13 PMActually, I think Dean did bitch slap Mehlman over the fund raising issue. Regardless, who cares what the GOP thinks about our fund raising capabilities or what is in our coffers.
Posted by Judith at November 14, 2005 06:46 PMPoor old Silly Sarge should look around. There are fewer and fewer bitter-enders like him supporting his little tinpot Texas hitler.

Posted by Mike at November 14, 2005 07:26 PMAnd is anyone going to cry, or lose any sleep for the drug companies because their sales are down and their image is in the toilet?
You tell 'em, Steve. Just think how inexpensive drugs will be when Big Pharma goes out of business!
Posted by muckdog at November 14, 2005 09:56 PMI prophesy that in the next three years Cyber Stooge (and many other dead-enders) will deny Glorious Leader three times.
"I tell you I do not know the man"!!
And a Rovan will crow.....
Posted by euzoius at November 14, 2005 10:05 PMApparently Right Wing econo-nuts now believe that monopolistic/monopsonistic markets are the surest way to the lowest prices!
Drug manufacturers, like oil companies, should be regulated like utilities used to be.
And when economic catastrophe arrives, they probably will be.
