Comments: Did Bush Want To Bomb Al-Jazeera?

The only thing "accidental" about the disastrous Bush administration is that Justice Kennedy couldn't be persuaded to join the dissenters in Bush v. Gore and let the Florida courts finish the vote count.

Al Jazeera sucks.

BushCorp sucks worse.

I would welcome the absence of both.

That's not the point!!

Here's the point. For the below lies they should be impeached, arrested and sent to prison for life.

1) Cheney said it was “pretty well confirmed” Iraqi intel agents had met with Atta in Prague. In fact our intel agencies had pretty well confirmed that was not true BEFORE he was out saying it.

2) Bush was pushing the Niger yellow cake story AFTER Wilson, the IAEA, and anybody else who looked at the ridiculous evidence said it was not true.

3) Rice was saying the aluminum tubes could only be for nukes AFTER our intel agencies had concluded they were most likely not.

4) They all said Iraq was training terrorists in bomb making and other terror skills AFTER the source had been deemed unreliable and AFTER he had recanted.

5) They all used curveball’s mobile wmd lab and remote drone garbage AFTER multiple intel agencies had deemed him unreliable.

something is definitely seriously wrong with the president (not kidding)..if he was serious he ought to be removed from office..he is a threat to mankind..much more so than osama bin laden..i think the man is crazy..

Um, just a thought, but maybe they are going after the guy who leaked classified documents because he LEAKED CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS?

Posted by Kman at November 22, 2005 10:28 AM

Hmm...

Firebombing the Brookings Institute, blowing up Al-Jazeera...

Could this be one more item in the historical trend towards resignation in disgrace? If only.

Did Bush want to bomb Al-Jazeera?

Not really. He wanted to yell at Laura, but she wasn't around, so....

Nope...merely a wish.

Posted by God Of War at November 22, 2005 11:47 AM

You mean to say that the team that cooked the election would also consider cooking Al Jazeera? Perhaps the New York Times is next on their list.

Is this the best leadership team this country can put up?

Posted by Cookie Monster at November 22, 2005 12:05 PM

Sets a bad precedent. We wouldn't want someone bombing Fox Network would we?

Rent the DVD of "Control Room" and watch as a U.S. jet circles lazily over the headquarters of Al-Jazeera in Baghdad, checks the co-ordinates, and launches a missile that blows the place to smithereens (including an Al-Jazeera reporter and cameraman who were on the roof filming the attack) and then tell me again how Bush's threat was a joke. (Al-Jazeera had helpfully provided the exact co-ordinates of their headquarters to the Pentagon to make sure it wasn't hit by accident. I don't think they'll ever do that again.)

Why in the heck do you dislike Al Jazeera news?
Sure makes one wonder about all those reporters that keep turning up dead, doesn't it?

Posted by Judith at November 22, 2005 03:34 PM

And of course, it begs the question : Why would a statement of humor be quoted in a classified document?

"And of course, it begs the question : Why would a statement of humor be quoted in a classified document?"

Ickabod, it wouldn't and therefore this pResident was deadly serious. Remember, he would gladly destroy anyone who disagrees with him.

I see the Pentagon and White House are calling this story "outlandish". Well, it's certainly that, but that isn't exactly a denial either, is it?

______

I think the Arab division of Al Jazeera news is about as straight as FOXnews. I dislike any news organization that deliberately deceives/spins to me. I want facts. Thus, fuck BushCorp, fuck FOX, and fuck Al Jazeera.

The international division of Al Jazeera is a little more credible.

Well, I don't mind reading/viewing sources with an agenda. But I do expect them to own up to that agenda. America's media are not admitting to their biases these days.

CapD, anytime this WH says something is "outlandish" in response to anything, you can count on it being true.

Posted by Judith at November 22, 2005 07:51 PM

All I know is that Al Jezeera online is one of the best sites for getting news around the world. I would believe them before I would believe anything in our MSM media.

The White House???? Why....that's outlandish!!!

Posted by rainyday at November 22, 2005 10:23 PM

Do you mean allow Gore to cherry pick the democRatic counties only? Not all of the counties? Oh.... I guess you don't read much. A major survey by numerious news outlets concluded that Bush would have won using three out of four counting methods. i.e. hanging chads and the like. Get over it. you are looses that are out of power. Pull down on your tin foil hat to ensure it is properly secured cause Bush, President Bush that is, will keep taking it to the islamofacists for the next few years.

Hee-hee. Judith, that is so, so true.

Actually any time you see a non-denial denial from the WH/Pentagon/CIA which strings together a whole bunch of colourful adjectives plucked from a thesaurus, you can bet the claims they're attacking will be confirmed by independent sources within a matter of days.

You know, words like "incorrect, bogus, wrong, untrue"; or "outlandish, conspiratorial, and filled with error and anonymous conjecture"; or "riddled with fantastic claims", "outrageous and constitutionally specious". There's something about the truth being publicly exposed that brings out the literary side in these guys.
