Comments: Sauce For The Goose, Slander From The Gander

I always like to recall what I am thankful for on Thanksgiving Day.

I am thankful for a merciful and benevolent God, with a strong sense of humor.

I am thankful for a great wife and two wonderful daughters.

I am thankful for my family, and all they taught me.

I am thankful for everyone who has taught me lessons.

I am thankful for President George W. Bush.

I am thankful for Richard Cheney.

I am thankful for Condoleeza Rice.

I am thankful for Donald Rumsfeld.

I am thankful for the United States Armed Forces, past and present, and for all their sacrifices and service.

I am especially thankful for the United States Marine Corps.

I am particularly thankful for the National Guard.

I am respectfully thankful for the United States Coast Guard, who saved damned near every flood victim along the Gulf Coast, who could be saved.

I am thankful for the State of Texas.

I am thankful for blogs, without which we might well have surrendered to Terrorists by now. (EXCLUDING THIS BLOG OF COURSE)

tempus, how can you be sure he doesn't? Scary, isn't it?

Coyote: my next-door neighbor is a drooling Bushlick. Very Ned Flanders. My other neighbor is 'Sammy's Strip Emporium', so I think it's unlikely.

This is what makes the China-Japan foodfight so infuriating to discuss. On the one hand, the Chinese are being stinkin' sanctimonious in demanding the right to edit another country's school textbooks (while at the same time erupting in hysterical fury if any foreigner doesn't toe their line on Taiwan and Tibet). On the other, how could anyone sit still with a powerful neighbour like Japan simply denying reality in this fashion?

Asia is not going to rise very far if its two most powerful countries end up in the dirt with their hands at each other's throats, even if it stops short of open warfare.

You are thankful for the gang that did nothing to prevent 9-11 despite numerous warnings including a presidential daily brief. You are thankful for a gang that lied and invaded a country that never attacked the US. You are thankful to a gang whose policies have increased worldwide hatred for the US and increase terrorism across the planet. You are thankful for a gang that has violated all the humanitarian precepts that it is treaty-bound to uphold. Frankly, you are a terrorist sympathizer and supporter. I am thankful for spineless individuals like MIKE and PESSIMIST (the thought police) who remind us all that the DEMOCRATIC PARTY is CONTROLLED by the LIBERAL, TREASONOUS LEFT ---

THUS insuring CONSERVATIVE CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT FOR DECADES!!!!

Typical of traitors. They never see their own treason, but project it onto others. Evil surely lives in the hearts of people like Roof.

ELECTIONS MATTER -- TRY WINNING ONE!!!

We did try and won not jusy one, but two in New Jersey and Virginia. You'd better get used to losing ROOF, from now on you're going to be doing a lot of it from now on. You don't relizr it yet, but America is wise to your type now.

Someone hook up ROOF with all the other liberal blogs! He doesn't realize he's in the minority now!
I'm especially thankful of the United States Marine Corps, who Murtha served for 37 years, and spoke so highly of getting the fuck out of Iraq in an intelligent manner. Murtha was also the one who (5 deferment) Cheney suckled information from when he was Secretary of Defense, under bu$h Sr. ROOF was probably only a teenager then!

Perhaps you need to remember what happened on September 11, 2001. I as many people would like to forget what happened but that will never get us anywhere. I would like to erase the past. I would like to make it where we live in a world of peace. I really would like that. I would have really enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with my father whom is in Iraq at this time. But I do not and will not regret that he is there leading our great men and women in uniform. Protecting our freedoms. Protecting our freedom to speak freely and heck, to have a great Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. Even if there is an empty seat at the table. That empty seat is filled with courage and purpose. Courage and Purpose...Dedication and Passion so that my 18 month old niece, Ella can grow up and live free in this great United States of America that so many take for granted. I want her to be able to grow up and go to her prom, get married, have a great life and have children. I'm sorry but unless we take this head-on now...she may never have that opportunity...if you need proof...review back to my original statement.

Did FDR know Japan was going to attack prior to Pearl Harbor yet did nothing?

BENDITO!!

I keep posting these examples of deliberate WMD/ties to terrorist lies by the administration and you keep ignoring them (after asking for them again!!) Do you have any reply or is you integrity and charachter as low as appears?

1) Cheney said it was “pretty well confirmed” Iraqi intel agents had met with Atta in Prague. In fact our intel agencies had pretty well confirmed that was not true BEFORE he was out saying it.

2) Bush was pushing the Niger yellow cake story AFTER Wilson, the IAEA, and anybody else who looked at the ridiculous evidence said it was not true.

3) Rice was saying the aluminum tubes could only be for nukes AFTER our intel agencies had concluded they were most likely COULD NOT BE USED for that purpose.

4) They all said Iraq was training terrorists in bomb making and other terror skills AFTER the source had been deemed unreliable and AFTER he had recanted.

5) They all used curveball’s mobile wmd lab and remote drone garbage AFTER multiple intel agencies had deemed him unreliable.

6) Ten days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President Bush was told in a highly classified briefing that the U.S. intelligence community had no evidence linking the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein to the attacks and that there was scant credible evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al Qaeda, according to government records and current and former officials with firsthand knowledge of the matter....

Kris,

I have mixed emotions about posting anything to your post. But I think you deserve an answer. No one has forgotten "9-11"--in fact, there are stil 3000 or so seats unfilled this thanksgiving because of it, plus the 2100 of our own soldiers we have lost in the current Iraq war, plus the 15,000 or so who were injured and may be too injured to come home for thanksgiving. In addition, I have two young daughters about whose future I very much care about.

You tell us that you think, and your father thinks, that the way to avenge those deaths, and the way to protect those children, lies through a military occupation of, and pacification of, Iraq. I happen to disagree. I dont' disagree because I'm some kind of traitor. Or because I don't value our freedoms, or because I don't care about your niece (Or my own daughters, for that matter) but because I simply, on the basis of a lot of research, thought, and even prayerful contemplation--disagree that the Iraq war was the best way to achieve our goals: the end of terrorist attacks on our country or our citizens, a free and democratic middle east, or whatever else we have been promised when the Iraq war comes to an end.

I hope and pray your father, and all his troops, come home safely. LIke many other people, I am working to bring them home so that politicians can do the work they were intended to do which is to solve problems without resorting to war.

I think that that in response to 9/11 we should invade and occupy the house of Kris. There is no evidence that Kris and his/her family had anything to do with 9/11 and it may mean serious injury or death to Kris and his/her family, but things have changed. And Kris and his loved ones have exactly as much to do with 9/11 as Iraq and Saddam did. Remember 9/11.

P.S. Do the Geneva conventions apply to Kris and his/her family?

Posted by The Truth at November 25, 2005 07:12 AM

ROOF should be thankful that I do not know who he/she/it is.

Posted by God Of War at November 25, 2005 07:27 AM

Gee Kris, that would all be really touching were any of it rooted in truth. Your father should be hunting down Al Qaida somewhere, not leading his men through a quagmire in Iraq so that Bush and Cheney's buddies can live high on the hog.

If I were you, I'd be one pissed off motherfucker...and if my father didn't make it out of that den of lies alive, I'd go exact revenge on those responsible.

But I would never bury my head in the sand and repeat the lies that had been sold to me to justify the exploitation of my dedicated father.

You've got a harsh reality to deal with, and the sooner you deal with it, the better.

Posted by God Of War at November 25, 2005 07:33 AM

Wow, looks like Rove mailed out the troll-checks and sent his minions off to the blogs. Sad, isn't it, that they had nothing better to do on Thanksgiving? All are welcome, however. As they know, only the lefties will take them in and give them succor.

Kris, you look like a strapping young man. How come courage and purpose are sitting around eating turkey and pie when they should be in your heart, marching your ass down to the recruiting station? I mean, if you really believe you can protect your neice by continuing to kill and get killed in Iraq? Or are booger jokes for freedom your contribution to the cause.

God of War, I love you, I really do, but man, I don't love the threats. We like to beat people up rhetorically, not physically. Your comment to roof crosses a line that makes me uncomfortable no matter what kind of wingnut he is.

I wonder why no one told al-Zarqawi that he and the rest of al-qaeda have no ties to Iraq.
Posted by Bendito at November 25, 2005 08:25 AM
_____

You pathetic little prick. Can you do math, assholio? See, here's the deal, you vacant little fuck: Zarqawi and his boys moved into Iraq AFTER we invaded it and the free for all began. You already know that of course, but being a Republican, your nature dictates that you deliberately lie and distort. And why, pray tell, is your cowardly, pussified ass not in Iraq fighitng for freedom?

What's it like to be a pathetic, lying coward? Is it hard? Or is it just something you learn to live with, like having a whiny voice and a tiny dick, afflictions which you most assuredly also suffer?

I would pity you were you not a complicit coward, for I pity the weak and dismayed. But you, deliberate lying complicit coward that you are, deserve only scorn, contempt, and punishment.

O Bendito!!!! There are some examples you asked for up this thread. Everytime you post here you and everybody reading your post will feel your shame - until you address the examples you asked for and volunteered to comment on.

Seems a bit odd for the left to complain about anyone else using a tactic that figures so prominently in leftist manipulation, that of defaming the opposition.

Was it Judith or someone else?

Which of you made Bendito begin his whinning? This is important! We need to know which of his stones hurt him the most when it was thrown back at him. These must be the only weapons he understands. He's too stupid to know when he's been hurt by our originals.

Posted by OffTheFence at November 26, 2005 01:44 AM

Kris,

I sincerely hope that your father returns home, both safely and soon.

Posted by OffTheFence at November 26, 2005 01:45 AM

OTF, the right is always whinning. They are like bullies you know. The moment you hit them where it hurts, they start their whinning about so and so hitting them. We call them pansey asses.

Posted by Judith at November 26, 2005 05:53 AM

I know Judith. I just find it damned irritating that a grown-up (my assumption) has the nerve to complain when he's (again my assumption) called a few obvoiously deserved, derogatory names. I find it especially irrating when he's one who calls anyone in disagreement with him names like traitor, coward, terrorist, spineless, evil and worse.

Come to think of it though, since I know I'm not an evil, spineless, terrorist, coward, traitor-I really don't get too bent out of shape or take it personally when called these names. This makes me wonder, since the name calling seems to upset Bendito, do you think it's possible that he really knows that he is an evil, spineless, terrorist, coward, traitor but is trying to hide the fact? Why else would he be so defensive?

Extraneous info:

We all know that bullies have poor self concepts and prey upon those that are unlikely to retaliate. There has been new research. Did you know that now, in the physical world, teaching kids to ignore bullies is considered to be old-school advice? Research indicates that bullies interpret ignoring as weakness. It is suggested that bullies escalate their assaults (in number and magnitude) when left unconfronted.
